Great tip for tractor/trailer handling, Mike! That's especially valuable for a new-ish tractor owner like myself (owned my DK5310SE for about 1 1/2 years now). I've yet to pull a trailer (ever!), but I think that when I do decide to take the plunge, I'll be going with a trailer much like what you demonstrated this on. Between the deck being open for loading via forks from the sides to the dovetail making loading with or without ramps easier, it looks like a sensible way to go. Thanks! Dwight.
Man that is a good looking Tractor and Trailer combination, I should get that. Oh wait, I DID. Thanks to Mike and his team for their help in making my buying experience awesome. I unloaded that Duo (same tractor and Trailer) a few times this weekend with that very method. Had no issues.
I just bought rear wheel spacers for my Kioti ck3510 and was going to buy two extra ramps but after watching this video I think you just save me some money and some aggravation.
If Mr. Mike says it you can bank on it. Best person I've ever met in the equipment sales world that is straight up honest. Really like the video but I with people not being able to define a woman i probably tell people only to load on a flat surface.
would like to see a "what trailer would I use" series for the different models of Kioti. I'm having trouble finding just the right trailer for my RX6620
I load my tractor on my trailer the same way, it is a 10k trailer, PJ brand and over time there is a bow in my trailer from doing it. Will I stop, no, too lazy to get ramps out but it is not smart.
Doing that with my 1989 Toyota PU was fine, when I did it with my 1997 3/4 ton Chevy I arched the trailer when I picked the rear end of the truck off of the ground. The pu weighs about 7500 pounds. 7000 # trailer and a bigger tractor,I believe a 6X6 block of wood under the tail of the trailer would have saved me a big repair job(18 ft trailer with a 2 ft dove tail)it bowed it 2.5 inches.
In Connecticut you would need five separate chains to tie down that set up!! Just saying. Don’t load a tractor on a trailer on a incline or your going for a ride. The only reason I’m saying this is for the people who may try this little trick.
Load equipment on trailers everyday, nothing wrong with this. Only thing I do different is chock the trailer tire so you don’t get the back and forth movement. Not good on the tranny.
Why is it wrong. 🤔 Do not see the tractor or loader being overloaded. Going slow and not impact loading the equipment. The trailer connection to the truck hitch is possible concern due to the rear load condition but that is the same with ramps unless the ramps have a front of ramp stand that you can adjust.
