Man, Kirby 64 had one of those can't do wrong OSTs. At this point I think I've done almost every song between my cover of Above the Clouds and the medley from Year 1, but I still want to do more. There are few soundtracks I'd ever consider doing an album for but if the game was more popular, I probably would have done it by now. It sucks that it wasn't recieved super well since it was such an easy game. The atmosphere was so cool and the music was spell binding.
I went a little over my head with this one though. A lot of the backing stuff was insane to play. The bass actually was impossible so I had to simplify it in many parts but over all I went for as accurate as I could. I think it came out super hard hitting. I thought since it hit so relentlessly it needed something to chill it out at the end so I did a quick little cover of the File Select theme since I thought it fit the vibe of the melody. Sorry if it's a bit jarring, I thought it sounded cool.

So freaking good. Your Kirby 64 covers are some of my favorites. Totally agree that its soundtrack is completely underrated. I say go for the album idea anyway. Would be amazing to hear you revisit tracks like Factory Investigation, Above The Clouds, and of course the 0² fight.

Also he should do "down the Mountain stream" I think that is the official name? It would lend itself well to rock. Really I just wish he would do tons more Kirby music in general (and F-zero)

Ok. I love Kirby Games. Especially Kirby 64. ESPECIALLY Aqua Star. It was my favorite Star because of it's sick theme. I also happen to like guitar remixes of video game tracks. So, when I came across this... HOLY CRAP I LOVE THIS SO MUCH IT WAS AN ULTIMATE HEAD-BANGER AND I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE PART WHERE YOU SNUCK IN THE POP STAR THEME AND IT'S JUST AMAZING AND I EVEN SHED A TEAR OF PURE NOSTALGIA THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF TRUE ART Sorry. This is definitely one of the best games in the franchise, in terms of feel and gameplay. Simple, yet innovative, and an amazing art style and soundtrack to boot.

Kirby 64 was my first Kirby game. So getting to mix powers together really blew my mind. And the atmosphere was so unlike any other Kirby game. It really felt otherworldly, more so than almost any Kirby game before or since. And the music had a lot to do with it I think.

This excites my nostalgia. Kirby 64 was one of my favorite video games ever, and Aqua Star was definitely one of the best tracks in the game. I love this cover so much. Absolutely stunning to the ears.

You should definitely check it out! it has some great songs, Aqua Star and Zero 2 are my favorites, but the whole soundtrack is great! You've probably heard remixes in other Kirby games too like Factory Investigation and its suberb remix in Planet Robobot!

This games soundtrack is so upbeat and happy, I love it. My favourite part of this arrangement at all the tipping parts playing in the background, they just make the whole thing just feel so full. Also that bit at the end where it suddenly chills out to just the Xylophone was just 👌. Excellent work Jules! 29 weeks to go!

Yes! this is one of my favorite Kirby songs (Zero2 is my favorite) from the crystal shards! I'm so glad you did it! Please do more Kirby music (and F-zero, you know you want to). Also could you consider doing Mario Sunshine's Delfino Plaza? It almost made it into your overworld medley as a runner up, I was real bummed about that, but at least you know there is a lot of people who want it for it to get that far in the votes!

Perfectly done! This is my favorite thing you've done for this year, and you just keep getting better. The ending was a neat surprise, as well as the pop star theme you snuck in. In all, I don't think this theme could possibly have been covered in a more satisfying way. Also, jealous of that shirt ;)

my dad a jazz musician for over 30 years walked in the room and said he always dug this tune and wondered why it sounded so familiar .... i had too explain that it sounded familiar because i used to play kirby 64 as a kid 15-20 years ago. his response "that makes sense but the tune is dope either way."
