I'm going to have to agree... looking at them side by side... performance might be the same... but the bag on the Sentria II is fugly... but I'm not going to lie... I could totally get past that...I would definitely own either if they were in perfect shape

I vote Kirby Sentra 2 I love the design and bag and the Avilair I don’t like the design I love how both of them sound when they beat on the carpet and motor i have a sentria and I just love Kirby sentria 2 the drive on it to amazing it feels light well pushing the sentria 2 is amazing 😁😄btw Kirby’s are my favorite vacs
I will never use anything newer than a Diamond Edition. After that they became a lot more plastic and less original. I can not stand the handle grip on the new Avalir II either, My Grandma has a Avalir II and the handle made me never want to use it again it was so uncomfortable compared to my Diamond Edition.
My wife and I recently purchased the Avalir 2. We've been happy with our Sentria 2, as it works well. However, the salesman mentioned differences in the motors. Can you confirm if this is accurate? We remain fans of both Kirby models and value your honest insights. Just for reference, we bought the new Avalir 2 for $1599 on August 7th, 2023.
The motors are pretty identical apart from a fuse incase the fan breaks . I did find the Avalir 2 to have a little more airflow than the Sentria 2 but not much . I think the main advantage of the Avalir 2 is the new shampoo system over all

Got my off the past revisions . We are due for a new model as been 6 years since avalir 100. Sentria came out in 2007 ran to 2014 with Sentria2 2 . So I reckon 2022 at the latest
avalir 1 and 2 are not the same machine the avalir2 is lighter due to wait reducton preformend on verious parts of the machine including but not limeted to a new meterial inter bottom plate. it feals lighter because it is!
Most definitely, the commercial cleaners Electra Dry in Australia only use Kirby vacuums before they clean carpets with VLM. It’s the only way to get the deep down dirt out of the carpet before cleaning the surface

@@richardc1983 you can try it, I think the speed switch is good . But a engineer who worked for Kirby advised against this . As they had a lot of diamond edt coming in with faulty commutators due to the strain the low power switch puts on the motor. Hope this helps
From your Kirby Representitive- the hepa filtrated bags filter 0.03 microns so yes dust CAN leak out just like any other vacuum bag/filter but the bag on the outside of all the Avalir systems have charcoal so it traps the dirt inside
The axle on the avalir has shorter ends, as the screw is inside the wheel instead of flush on the end like the Sentria 2 You would have to change the front axle to a avalir front axle .hope this helps thanks for subscribing and supporting my content 👍👍
