Recently, I want to sell my artwork for two reasons , first because I have a lot of good ideas for characters and stories, second, I thought about making money for college, also recently, I had bought some equipment to help with the side hustle, My question is where should I start with selling art? Do animating shorts come first?

@@victoriam.8652 Make sure to ask questions as a new comment and not in a reply, that way Duskia doesn't have their notifications flooded! But to answer quickly, as someone who doesn't sell nor take commissions, that process takes a long time. If you have hundreds or thousands of work already made and available for people to see what you can do and if it fits their needs and you're consistent with it, that's a good thing but remember that people aren't interested in original creations and will gravitate towards something they are familiar with That's why "fanart" is a popular thing. I don't want to discourage anyone, but reaching that point requires years of consistent work put out regularly that often pays years later unless you've already established yourself in the past and have a following. There are also many other factors to take in consideration!
