Oh wow!!!!!!! I wish I was there, I’d love to be your assistant. I have a few to work on too, I will do them in series as I have to set up lots of stuff for them in the workshop. Lots of rearranging for polishing wheel etc.

@@HooverLux I have some drill related polishing stuff so far but am thinking about getting a setup similar to yours and would do it outside beside the house.

The drill polishing isn’t very messy to be fair, but when I polish metal on my polishing wheels, the mess is awful 😱😱😱😱

I wheel polished a Kirby using the Kirby Handibutler about 20 something years ago in high school. It was messy job.

Yes, when we had the home demo in 89 of the heritage 2, the sales demon said that if my parents put a pound in there every day, it would pay for itself 😂😂😂

That also applies to my 1984 Kirby Heritage 84 and my 1987 Kirby Heritage II, which date to March 1984 and February 1987 respectively: 28403 and 28702 2 = plant (Kirby West, Andrews, TX) 84 = calendar year 1984 03 = calendar month March and 87 = calendar year 1987 02 = calendar month February

The plant code numbers change from time to time depending on model. When the Heritage I and Heritage II (Legend) were being made, plant 1 meant final assembly was in Cleveland, OH and plant 2 meant final assembly at Kirby West in Andrews, TX. In the case of this Legend II, plant 3 denoted final assembly in Cleveland, while plant 4 stood for final assembly at Kirby West in Andrews, TX. I know, 'cause I once had a Legend II whose serial number began with 48903, which meant 4 = final assembly at Kirby West in Andrews, TX 89 = calendar year 1989 03 = calendar month March

My '73 Kirby Classic Omega was built in Texas and looks almost as shiny as that once every fifteen years when I bring it in for maintenance.

I forgot to say the original foot switch was replaced also! Original part no. was 951088 (maroon switch button).

Yeah, I still have it and use it sometimes, it’s on my Kirby wall in the garage. I have a vid coming up showing all the vacs, you’ll see it then my friend.

Seperate it and wash them.
