2:14 I find it weird that Makiko Ohmoto’s voice went uncredited, and is only used in one spot of the entire game. This would be followed by a gap of mainline Kirby games where he has no voice, until Super Star Ultra (briefly, his second Mike shout in that game is closely similar) and Return to Dream Land.
Beam was simple past days, now it became broken, lol irony how one of the most basic of the Abilities is so OP now, I kinda miss Needle now it’s latest appearance was in Kirby Triple Deluxe I also miss Throw and Wheel.
Beam isn't really broken, its mainly hit or miss if it's good. It was terrible in kirby's adventure, mediocre in kirby's Super star, and busted in Team kirby clash deluxe(even though that's technically beam mage) and so on.
@@erlindaibarreta8611 I kinda wish Suplex in Star Allies had the effect of an elemental enemy having their properties when thrown, imagine how cool some puzzles could've been, a narrow path with a fan that required you to throw a wing enemy through it to gain a collectable
When I played Kirby NDL and Kirby Squak Squad, I compared the two due to only those I played ever since. I liked the idea of some abilities being merged together and others given more ability. Like Spark gaining a Charge ability to make a bigger Shockwave, or with the ability to launch a Shock Ball towards enemies. Or Fire gaining ability to blow fire AND turn into a fireball rather than be two separate. Or some abilities changed up entire like Crash; now just Bomb, I really liked Crash, such a unique ability with the possibility to 1 shot certain mini bosses. Or like UFO, same ability, couldn't bring it over to other stages in NDL, making it so rare. And the sounds used for that ability were so much better than in Squeak Squad, but at least you got to keep the ability through the stage select before you run into ladders.
I'm not forcing you to but you should try triple deluxe and robobot, I feel like both are good games. Star allies is a bit more mixed though, you might like it you might hate it. It really depends

It is such an irony that Kirby, effectively a warrior of light, have a Copy Ability called Light that can only light up dark rooms and that's it, and something that the player don't really need to progress.
I mean in their defense this game is a remake of Kirby's Adventure which didn't have entire movesets for abilities so it made sense because that wouldn't be until Super Star
It’s a remake of Kirby’s Adventure which was the game that introduced the Copy ability. It was originally for the NES so the limited number abilities references the limitations of the original
