You feel 100% BAD. But well if you can stop the greater Evil then its better to get rid of it and stalling the great evil is not viable as it eventually can find a way to escape dooming the dreamland into nightmare realm
So 8 years ago when I was 8 years old, I was playing this game late at night. So you know how it says something about getting a good night sleep after you beat the final boss, well... I was going to bed, and fell asleep immediately. God, I love this game so much.
Can I just say that I love The fact that this guy isn’t doing a no damage or being a gigantic sweatlord, even being enough of a freaking chad to leave in the fact that he died in the video?
I'll be honest... I kinda prefer this version of the Fountain of Dreams theme over the ones you hear in the Smash Bros. games... I don't know, it just feels more... right. Like the music actually has some weight behind it, rather than the Smash version which, while it does have weight, feels more flashy and lacks substance to me. Then again, what do my silly personal opinions matter?
The difference is in intent. Here, there is actual weight behind the battle, the two sides actually have something at stake. In smash bros. they're just fighting to fight, it's all a show, and therefore lacks any substance beyond spectacle.
Tbh, it wasn't until _very_ recently that I found out that Nightmare's first phase (Dark Orb) has an actual time limit. Apparently if you take too long and hit the ground, you die--makes sense, really.
Actually the cartoon is part of it's own continuity which makes sense because in it some characters have different roles. King Dedede especially because he is an antagonist in the show where as in the games he is a misunderstood hero. I think though that Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare In Dreamland was where the show borrowed most of it's influences from. As a matter of fact aside from Heavy Mole all the bosses in this game made at least one appearance in the show though Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright were just cameos as part of Slice N Splice's rods.
+Turtleman fusion! I think you're right because I think it was said that the machine in the background where you fight Dedede in *Squeak Squad* was something he had on the show. I wouldn't know because I didn't' watch the show.
I wish they kept Nightmare as the main antagonist. He makes more sense in that he is a living nightmare and Dream Land is supposed to be like a beautiful dream. Instead they just started making giant eye balls.
I remember beating this bosses without even losing any health. I was the shit at this game lol. I miss it. idk what happens to it. but if it ever comes up best believe I'm gonna play it again
Lord dragon If they ever make a Smash Switch (even if it's a port with little to no extra content), they need to at least keep the player icons above said players' heads.
It wasn't that hard to me. I noticed the final boss takes more damage if you shoot stars at it from the star rod, instead by using the "spinning jump attack" (which the person in the video relied on to much) which doesn't take off as much HP. Which is why the battle took longer in the video.
+Kimberly Blount You're right. I didn't know it until I downloaded the *3D* version of the original for my 3DS. The part where you first fight Nightmare's Power Orb it seems like you're getting closer to the ground than you do in this version.
The only reason that I find the original to be harder is that your attacks have a weird delay, and the controls kinda suck (ie: you have to hold up to float)
King Dedede did all this, and even fought kirby because King Dedede knew the dangers of putting the wand back on the Fountain of Dreams. Talk about a misunderstood hero.
When I was 5 I had a ROM of this game that wouldn't save. So when I got to the endcard that said to have a good sleep, I got emotional. I played and played for hours straight and kept my GBA charged at all times so that the power wouldn't dry and I'd have to restart. I was a sensitive kid back then.
That one scene before nightmare shows up where hes in the background scared me so bad when I was little, but I never gave up on it. Now I'm tryna beat the nes version
Looking back at this game and to the Right Back At Ya cartoon, I realized that Nightmare (the final boss of this game) and eNeMeE (its cartoon counterpart) are the same entity
loved this game when i was little my brother had it and when he was at school or doing something else i would play this game the music and game were awesome i loved it alot if they do a remake love to buy and play it how i miss those days were i would play with my bros gameboy games my how the yesrs have passed
I just came here because I remembered playing on my phone with the emulator and I swore the boss used to be a lot creepier than I remembered. He also teleported a lot compared to this one
I remember that I used to have this game but since GameStop used to sell game boy advance game then I sold my Kirby's Nightmare In Dreamland game for the game boy advance because every time when I go to sleep I turn off my video game just to give my game a break so it won't break even when the game is off and by the time I woke up in the morning I was ready to play this game that is in this video and then after that then by the time I was about to get my save data to play with Kirby's Nightmare In Dreamland then it got erased my saved file got erased every time when I play this game the save file always says save data got deleted so that's why I stopped playing this game but still it was a good game back in my child hood and I really enjoyed every moment of this really awesome cool game by that's why i'm gonna stick to playing with my awesome game that I really like the most called Kirby Triple Deluxe :-)
I remember this game from so long ago🔥 what this person did at first was what I did too to defeat nightmare but throwing the stars at him does alot more damage than swinging the star rod
This looks prettier overall and I like that Dedede gets his own music, but the original's sprites were much more expressive, with Dedede looking TERRIFIED and Kirby looking pissed. And while the moon looks "prettier", the original made it much scarier.
