Honestly we have to thank Kumazaki if Amazing Mirror is still relevant today. Since that game was developed by Flagship and not HAL, it would have been probably treated as if it was a spin-off or even directly unrecognized in future games if Kumazaki never stood up as Director. Anyway, this was an incredible experience, the Amazing Mirror soundtrack is absolutely beautiful and gives a sense of magic and you managed to enhance every aspect of it. Looking forward to the suite of Kirby's Dreamland 2!
Ah, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror; the first Kirby game I ever played. I first experienced it through the 3DS Ambassadors' Program, but even I find it hard to believe that it's now 20 years old... Gotta say, this special suite was a phenomenal way to pay tribute to this wonderful little gem amongst Metroidvanias. Outstanding work as always!
2004: Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, the 'Mirror World' 2022: Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the 'New World' These two games have similar titles and each of them have their own story and theme. There is much to say about these two interesting games in creative ways that they are being released 18 years apart but Forgotten Land feels like somewhat a true main gameplay version to the Amazing Mirror in terms of level design, maps and copy abilities while exploring a new dimension. Although the level design of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is confusing at first since it is a game that allows the player to travel to anywhere they wish (kinda like Maplestory but as a Kirby version) but the soundtracks just like Forgotten Land are great. Hopefully, a new Kirby game (which is now in development) is announcing soon and perhaps combining both Mirror and New Worlds into one whole story throughout the game ('Kirby and the Amazing Land' maybe) and that would be more epic
This has to be of my most favorite remixes ever. I love how you got what made KatAM music so especial, whimsy, and alive. This game ost is one of the best of the saga in my opinion, and I'm so happy someone made it even more beautiful! Thank you for this suite, it's expectacular.
This was so incredible! I loved every minute of it! My favorite parts were the candy constellation remix and the dark mind remix! I especially loved the artwork! Congratulation to everyone who worked on this and I can't wait to hear what's coming next!
This is so well done, just like the others are! I especially love the motifs you throw in from other games, the Fighters 2 section in the credits was so beautifully harmonious...
Finally got the chance to hear this, but of course I couldnt skip on azifly's suite of my first ever kirby game! Amazing mirror's soundtrack has a very special dream-like magic to it, one which is shared with all of the pre rtdl games, a side of kirby that unfortunately feels lost in the modern games* ( I know this isn't just a matter of nostalgia because kdl3 was one of the last games I've played and it immediately gave me those feelings). Unfortunately, almost all orchestral mixes of amazing mirror I've heard (including the official one) had lost this magic, and felt very meh as a result. This suite absolutely did not disappoint however, and was the first time I felt a remix really bring me back into that childhood experience of playing amazing mirror. All it takes was hearing the opening theme (with that beautiful piano transition at 1:45) to get those goosebumps again. There are many ways in which we can preserve memories, ways in which we can keep something alive, and music is perhaps the most powerful of them all. Thank you for another beautiful suite! * - except a bit in star allies, which in many ways went to the roots of the series.
this is so well done! i like how songs from other games were included alongside the tracks from amazing mirror, it's a nice way to expand on the soundtrack amazing mirror was my first kirby game, and it's still my favorite today. i felt a lot of things listening to this
