You know it's quite amazing.. when I was only 8 years old me and my brothers would watch this playthrough on the Wii. We could never afford any games, so we lived through our experience in your eyes. And ultimately, loved every second of it. Now, when I come back to this playthrough I can't help but feel nostalgic all over again. Now I'm 17 years old and still watch this playthrough from time to time. So.. thank you for making an amazing playthrough that brings out the little kid in me again.
im in an identical situation down to the age and just saw this comment after doing exactly what you suggest. this playthrough and kid icarus: uprising were what i watched over and over. time flies, huh?
@@kaitube607 The game says "It feels like...pants." in the US version. It says "It feels like...trousers." in the European version. Hope that clears up the confusion.
"Welcome to dreamland, a place famous for peace and quiet." Yeah, unless this is Kirby Right back at ya. Then it's famous for being attacked every 2 min. XD
Heck even game wise "peace and quiet" is taking it lightly.Let's count the attacks. King Dedede,Meta Knight,Nightmare,Marx,Magolor,Dark Matter/Zero,Yin Yarn,Haltmann,Sectonia,I could go on.
Don't mention the nightmarish final bosses that are out of Lovecraft horror like good old Zero! If Zero comes back for a new Kirby game in his 3rd form he should be nightmarish and terrifying than before (Make him ultra realstic and ungodly horrifying with realstic blood)
When I played the game, I always felt bad killing the waddle-dee, because they always just looked so cute! Like the ones with the spears always fell on their faces when you took their spear away from them, I always spares their lives!
I feel like the second player was meant more as a 'little sibling' mode than for proper cooperative play. It worked really well playing this with me and either my niece or nephew (I could usually carry them through levels if needs be) but trying to get the pair of them to play even the first level together just resulted in them having a huge argument over who was going to go and get the gems etc.
"I'll be nice and leave this waddle dee alive and he'll never even know I was here" Except for the valuable gems you stole from him and his Monkey friend thats vanished.
Wait, wait, wait, wait! Kirby can't suck enemies up because the air goes right through him, and yet he can catch air as a working parachute? ....Damn you Nintendo logic!
RainyDayGames I wouldn't like to *cut* your *string* of thoughts, but most people knew that... sew that... Darn, I was hoping I could keep my *strand* a bit longer.
this let's play has helped me so much over the past few years. every single year I come back to this lets play one to three times and watch it in its entirety. I love epic yarn, and his commentary is just... soothing? for every game he plays, too. Its so positive and sometimes I just need that. right now I feel like crying and its 1:30 AM. I turned on the epic yarn soundtrack since I hold it dear to my heart and love it, then thought; hey, I know what'll cheer me up! so now I'm here. thanks, Emile (:
Omg this brings back some great memories... Nostolgia, anyone?!? Chuggaaconroy was how I got into Kirby, this specific play through... Visiting back, some 7 years later hurts my heart so much ;(
Right so am I the only person who comes back to this playthrough when I feel sad because this playthrough of this game holds very happy memories for me T^T
I love this game for it's attention to detail, like how the yarn of the bosses becomes more and more worn and strained as they take damage. My personal favorite boss is Squashini.
I feel like this series is a comfort let's play for me. It's so cute and fun, and your commentary just adds so much to it. It's hard to have a bad day when Kirby's running around a world of feltwork. It's something special and full of nostalgia for me
Dam, I remember binge watching this back in like 2012-2013. I loved this to bits! I'm glad you actually still make RU-vid videos today, your a great dude! I might stick around for more of your content! I'm now 13 (nearly 14) and rewatching this is probably what I'm gonna spend my day doing
@@virtualboygodot8251 Not quite. In British English, "pants" exclusively refers to underwear, meaning that "It feels like... Pants" would carry the wrong meaning.
Rewatching a bunch of Emile's let's plays in order to remind myself of how he's made me feel, and remind myself that he deserves a second chance just like he once gave me despite how much I wanted to simply end it all. Thank you Chuggaaconroy, I hope to see you once more once you've bettered yourself.
On my quest to watch every lp in order of release, this was the one I was the most excited for. I remember looking up an LP of Kirby Superstar Ultra as a 13 year old and finding this instead. I wound up sticking around and found a love for bad puns
I've had a really shitty time lately, so this happy little game and Chugga's amazing commentary are just what I need right now. Thank you for unfailingly cheering me up no matter what happens :)
Currently, Good-Feel is working on a new title based off of Kirby's Epic Yarn titled Yoshi's Woolly World. From the looks of that game, it looks like it will beat this game by a long shot.
This game is so warm and fuzzy! I knew about it awhile ago, and even watched these playthroughs maybe two years ago, but a wave of nostalgia came crashing over me, so I came back.
You probably won't ever see this but I've always been a sickly person and I have to generally take a while to get better after and watching you play this always brightens my day so thank you
I remember I thought Kirby was a girl... until I played this game. When Dom Woole called Kirby Lord Kirby, I was like, "Okay... Wait... Kirby's a GUY?"
In the British version, we call pants trousers, and when the incredibly posh narrator said 'trousers' me and my mates fell about laughing because it sounded sooo funny!
+Andra wagner usually when I see someone new, only being interested in the game, I'm always like: Who on earth is that? But with Chuggaa (and Olizandri for that matter) after the first few video's I already subscribed.
Rewatching this, it was my first chuggaconroy series and probably is the one that got me into gaming. It’s also probably responsible for my Kirby addiction… 10 years is a long time, thank you.
You know what'd be cool? If they put a spin on the "friend betraying you" trope. Like Marx, Magalor, you know the usual. But instead of it just being your new found frenemy, the final enemy will be player two. That way, not only is it more personal since whoever's been playing with you was with you from the beginning of the game, but it can be pretty cool to have a competitive showdown with player two.
+Van Dagylon I'm not really aware on whether it is or not. Haven't seen it often. Even less so with Kirby. It'd just be nice if they changed it up from main series Kirby games.
The problem is that you aren't guaranteed to have a player 2. That means they either have to make an AI friend (and we all know how AI companions can be awful) or use the trope anyway.
I have a cat on my lap while I'm watching this Let's Play again. Mad respect to Chugga for making Let's Plays like this. Dude, imagine if he Let's Played Dino Escape if it ever gets made.
You like puns? I like puns, But I make bad ones. Someone says that even bad puns are cool, even though they aren't very PUNNY! Get it? Punny-Funny? No? Ok.
