This brings me back good memories when I first play this game. Defeating Magalor, collecting all spheres, also the challenges, (it was hard when I keep restarting it again, cause I can't move fast and collect the coins lol) I sold my Wii and some games, including the Kirby's Return To Dreamland game back in 2014. I just wish if I have my Wii back and the game so I can play it again. It was pretty fun. Also, great walkthrough of the 4 player gameplay of this game. Top 6 Annoying Enemies in this game: 6. Clayn: This enemy can catch you off guard when you are minding your own business. 5. Togekuki: Not a tough enemy, but it's got the ability to hinder you in place with it's stem. 4. Degout: The new and improved Scarfy/Mumbies. Degout has A LOT of HP. The moment you attack it, it chases you. 3. Key Dee: You only get one shot to unlock the door in certain areas. Fail to get the key, and you must re-do the level. 2. Cerulean: Major nuisances, especially when there are a lot of these guys in your way along with other enemies. 1. Sheld: I seriously despise this enemy. Sheld has armor, and charges at you without any hesitation. But wait, that's not all they do. No, no, no. They can jump on platforms and hop over enemies to dodge your attacks. Also if they are pursuing you, they will chase after you. Shelds are aggravating when trying to fight off other foes especially if they are moving fast. To make things even more annoying, if you are playing as Kirby, you drop your copy ability if you get hit by them. This is why Sheld irritates me. I completely hate these guys.

Mate the Wii was my childhood, I remember countless hours replaying this game because it was so fun. Especially when my cousins came I just popped in Kirby return to dreamland, Rayman origins, New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and plenty of other games that I don’t remember now since it was so long ago,thx for bringing back some amazing memories mate.

I remember getting this game in 2012-2013 when i was 6-7. It took me years to finish both normal and extra mode since i was so young (now i'm 13 and i can finish kirby games in 2 days AT MOST. That's how far I've come) and then i decided to get as many collectables as i could. At the time, the only thought of completing a game at 100% was not even human for me, but i played it so much that i was doing just that without even realizing. I still remember with immense pride, that glorious, GLORIOUS moment. It was a 2015 afternoon. I was sitting in the corner with leaf, with a sliver of health in total panic, and i came out of my indestructible leaf shield only a few times to give a couple attacks when i felt like it was 100% safe. I COULD FEEL THE WII REMOTE COVERED WITH THE SWEAT COMING OUT OF MY HANDS. And then, FINALLY, i gave the final hit to Magolor soul and completed the true arena. It isn't NEARLY as hard as the planet robobot one, but i was 9 i remind you! That thing was hell for me! I remember coming back to the main menu, my hand still trembling with adrenaline and anxiety, and seeing the 100% completion screen with the triumphant fanfare playing in the background. I stared blankly at the screen for like 5 minutes after that

Absolute masterpiece. Kirby's Return to Dream Land holds a very special place in my heart. It's still my favorite Kirby game. The story and soundtrack are iconic to me, and really pushes the game over the top!
Seems to me like there’s nobody controlling waddle dee lol either 3 people each playing the other 3 or two people trying to each play two characters lmao but you can definitely tell nobody is controlling waddle dee but they wanted all 4 characters for their walkthrough.

I first played this game with my cousins. It’s the first real Kirby game I ever played, I’d only played spin-offs till then. It’s still one of my favorite games ever. Everything about it is just so fun, especially with friends. The mini games were awesome and the plot twist was incredible. I always feel nostalgic hearing the soundtrack. One of the cousins I would play this game with died in an accident yesterday, as of the time I write this. So coming here and watching it all again brings me back to better memories. I remember playing the true arena and using spark, and constant moving the dpad left and right in order to get it charged up, it ended up leaving a massive mark on my left thumb, which didn’t go away for like 2 weeks. Still a bangin game tho

I love how the intro and outro cutscenes both don’t have any verbal dialogue at all. All of the dialogue is told through actions, facial expressions, gestures, even the music.
After playing Kirby Star Allies so much, it feels weird to see this game again.. Isn't that strange? Especially considering Return to Dreamland is the 2nd video game I have played in my entire life. (The first one was Twilight Princess. I didn't discover the passion known as video games until I was a bit older than most video game players.)
I remember back when this game first came out in 2011 ( back when they always showed that "AND KIRBY, AND KIRBY" ad), I whined and begged my brother and mom to get me this game (I was 6, turning 16 now.). I remember the absolute happiness on my face when I saw the case for the first time, I rushed to my Wii and put it in, I ran through the menu and started the game. Going through the grassy forests and and wooden rooftops of Cookie Country, the desolate dunes and temples of Raisin Ruins, The jolly beaches and underwater caves in Onion Ocean, the ruthless blizzards and glaciers of White Wafers, and to the sky high and atmospheric realms of Nutty Noon was an absolute blast. And also Halcandra was great as well! Going against the mechanical abominations that roam in Egg Engines, to the volcanic terrors that lie within Dangerous Dinners, to the warped unknowns of Another Dimension, and the chaos and isolation of Magalor's Dimension were breathtaking and intense! The story was amazing for it's time, Magalor being a twist villain was so amazing. The Super Abilities were peak Kirby mechanic (imo), and I hope they show up more often in different forms besides JUST Ultra Sword (Flare Beam and Monster Flame have only showed up in RTDL!!!!!!). The returning abilities were great, and adding new moves onto abilities like Hi Jump and Tornado was SUUUUPER smart! The new abilities are staples of 2010 Kirby, Water was long over due, Leaf and Whip were really amazing additions to Kirby's kit, and Spear is my absolutely favorite ability! The music were such bangers as well, they all have their own unique theme that seperates each area's music from the other! Magalor's phase 1 and 2 themes were out of this world! And the credit medley put the icing on the cake with a cherry on top! It's made even better when you see the "The End...?" show up at the bottom right hand corner, and seeing "The End." on the EX mode, it feels rewarding. I remember me and my family going through Egg Engines and I was playing as Bandana Dee. I somehow did the helicoptor move and my whole family was impressed, this unironically sparked my love for Bandana Dee. I now hope to see my orange with a bandana fighting alongside Kirby against Sephiroth and Sonic, this is my dream character. Sadly my mom noticed things were getting competitive and she actually hid the disc, we moved before we even found it. I remember though when we lived there, I used to always watch playthroughs of the game, like the WiiLiketoPlay dudes (I hope they're doing alright.) and watching the Super Ability showcase videos. This was back when Smash 4 didn't exist and shows like Gumball and Adventure Time and Regular Show were in their early seasons. I seriously cannot believe this game is going to be 10 years old, makes you realize that time flies, and the period you're living in now will soon become a fond memory. I still have the Wii, but the wire for the remote reader was broken due to a vacuum. I was upset when it happened, but I brushed it off since I had a 2DSXL back then (that's gone now, I got a Switch on my birthday last year.). I actually got the game again in 2017 and beat story mode AND EX mode. 2 years later I beat the the True Arena with Tornado. I was really close to 100% completing before the wire broke, all I needed to do was get all spheres from the last Dangerous Dinners EX level and beat the Robot minigame. I wonder if I'll ever finish it. Time flies really fast, it's sad but don't dwell on the past or worry about the future, focus on the present. Those moments of playing with my family on the Wii will never go away, I cherish them to death. My family now is mostly just relaxing in our rooms, surfing the net. My oldest sister moved out and so will my brother in a few months. It's moments with your family like mine that makes you realize how good things were, so never take the time with your family for granted (unless they're insensitive douchebags, then fuck them if that's the case.). This game means so much to me, it's shaped me to who I am today as a person. From Return to Dreamland, to Triple Deluxe, to Planet Robobot, even to Star Allies, let this year be the celebration of a decade, the Return to Dreamland era. The Wii was ahead of it's time back then, and it still is! If I could, I would play this game everyday if the sensor wasn't broken. That's enough about me rambling about my experience and sheer love for this game. I know most people aren't bothered to actually read long comments and I know that there's a big possibility that this comment will be lost in time, but I WANTED to make this.
