UGA fan here: With that being said, I'm going to lay it down for you. If Kirby Smart allows Mike Bobo to do that same conservative, scared, "tip toeing" around playing calling from the Ray Golf play book, then we will get beat hands down! Rule of thumb: Never play scared, whether it's football, gambling, etc. If you do, you will lose. We must have an aggressive approach both on offense and defense. Just like Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, etc. No teams have ever won anything big by just playing conservative. You can't sit around and hope you can out last one of these big teams. It won't happen! Hopefully Mike Bobo, does not run the ball up the middle on 1st and 2nd down with one RB in the backfield. Everyone knows you're going to do this. You have to mix up the play calling and spread the talent all over the filed. If you keep doing this, not only will Alabama beat us, but Texas, Tennessee, & Ole Miss will as well.
Some of these reporters needs to quit and go work at McDonald's. Cause they suck at their jobs . They keep asking about kirbys past at Bama hell he has been gone for yrs now from there also Bama has a whole new coaching staff so things are different from last year to this year duh . Why does Kirby Smart let Mike Bobo do the same thing on offense over and over again expecting different results? You can't play conservative and win against teams like Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, etc. If you play scared, you going to get beat. Leave it all out on the field with your talented players and mix it up. If you loose, then you shake their hand and sleep like a baby that night. Please don't run the ball up the middle all night on 1st and 2nd down. Also, on defense, you can't sit there and play man to man all night. You have to send a pass rush to pressure the QB. Otherwise, Milroe will pick you apart.
Its weird because you look at 2022, and you have the Kentucky game where we win 16-6 and the Mizzou game we won 26-22. Then we put up 50 vs LSU and 42 vs Ohio State the same year. Im not a believer in Georgia “hiding” their plays against weaker opponents but they def have a switch they turn on and off for conservative play calling its definitely odd.
