I know everybody DESPISES this game, but this is definitely my favorite Kirby game. I grew up with this game when I was like 5 or 6 and had this be the first game I got for my DS. That was back in like 2010, good times man...

4:59 That final hit on Meta Knight was a masterpiece of a shot. Only more epic due to the nature of the fight itself. The wiki stated that Meta Knight himself was actually very aggressive compared to previous battles against him; rather than "test/train" him, he actually intended to win at all costs in order to prevent Kirby from releasing Dark Nebula (although he didn't know Kirby thought his cake was in the chest). Meta Knight notably DOESN'T offer Kirby a sword in this fight despite there being an ability bubble for it before his room. That, combined with his elemental moves -- WHICH HAVEN'T BEEN SEEN IN ANY PRIOR KIRBY GAME, implying he had been holding back before when fighting Kirby -- and his relentless battle style unbecoming of an honorable swordsman, just tells you how much he wanted to prevent Kirby from opening the box, misunderstanding aside.

i love when the meta knight uncapes and reveals his sword with a shine with the music playing in the background i just love that fight

I honestly like the idea of Dark Nebula being a form of dark matter with incredible possession abilities even enhancing the abilities of the host at the cost of having a weak physical form. And it seemed like Dark Nebula knew this since an entire phase was just chasing it.

Sword fighting irl: You maintain close contact and try not to get stabbed. Sword fighting in Dreamland: You summon tornados and jump all the damn time.

To be honest, Dark Nebula's boss fight could've been something more. Like his normal in-game form could've been a first phase to something more.

I love the fact that every time Kirby gets involved when it comes to saving planets or pop star, it’s either when he’s sleeping when he least expects it or over food. The guy literally fought a king over food back in Kirby’s dreamland and in squeak squad, he fought a literal god over food. This fact alone is what makes me find the Kirby series enjoyable, it’s part of my childhood and it’s just fun in general.

This game literally had some if the hardest bosses. (Ironic considering the final one)

Funny how King Dedede, the final boss from the first game, was relegated to the very first boss you fight in Squeak Squad.

Everyone says Dark Nebula is easy... I have never seen a single person fight it without an ability.

I feel like this game has a under appreciated line up of bosses (especially the hard ones like mecha kracko and Dark daroach)

Breezing through all of the bosses with the Tornado ability was soooo much fun to do when I was a kid.

I remember this game so well. I beat it 100% when I was 9, and this is an amazing game. It does not get the credit it deserves for how, fun, challenging and creative those bosses are

This game's really good, but most of the bosses caused me A LOT of trouble. Mecha Kracko, for example. I really used Spark at that era, and you know what happens when you use Spark on clouds. That giant... Crab... Thing? Also gave me a lot of problems, but it was mainly the arms. Oooooh boy, that fire owl. He's basically pixelated Pyribit, minus the background and foreground

I will forever stand by my opinion that Mecha Kracko is a top 5 Kirby boss. Holy shit this fight is a GAUNTLET, especially for an early-game boss. Love it when Kirby games give you a challenge

This was my first Kirby game and I have so many fond memories playing it. I still have it to this day and it still works too!

I had a hack that gave Dark Nebula 1,000 HP instead of 300 HP. That thing... _It scares me_

It took me about 2 years to actually defeat mecha kracko and now on replay I can’t tell whether I was just really bad at playing or my memories are playing with me and it never happened.

A game not as good as others BUT in my opinion definetly worth playing. The Squeak Squad still remains as one of my favorite things in Kirby. I share a lot of good memories with this game.

Even thought it was short and a easy to get a 100% game, it was really fun in my opinion, and was my first ever Kirby game besides the Kirby games I played on emulators

That fire owl cat bird abomination is one of the strangest, ugliest, and most unique kirby designs I’ve ever seen. Also God damn I love Daroach and the squeak squad, such fun characters

Boss list 1 - Some guy who’s apparently a king and supposedly stole a singular slice of cake without ever doing a single thing 2 - just some mole who’s evil cause yes 3 - a cloud but it’s literally robotic which makes no sense considering the cloud particles move 4 - something that exists I guess 5 - some angry owl 6 - some magician who wants to eat a slice of cake for no reason 7 - literal swordsman who could stab and kill you 8 - boss 6 but evil now 9 - just some evil thing I guess

I don't get the people who hate on this game... flagship made an excellent work, you just can't see the difference with a game made by hal. And plus, it was my childhood

I only remember two things from this game: King dedede is a slow pushover who experiences a seizure if you so much as touch him while kracko is final boss op because he destroys the floor and any hit over a pit is guaranteed death and ability loss because hitstun lasts as long, still enjoyed it just wished king dedede was better fight in this title

Used to play this and Kirby Super Star Ultra on my DS. My Kirby Squeak Squad is now broken idk why..

I think the main reason why kirby thought it was dedede who took the cake was because he has stolen food before.

If anybody doesn’t know the background for the first boss battle, it matches the throne room from the anime.

I got the triple star, and then immediately dropped it into that pit

Tornado is the absolute game breaker in Squeak Squad. Every other ability would be crushed by Mecha Kracko, and the only other ability that is good enough to be used against Daroach is Sword, and Bomb for Yadogaine. Tornado is the best in this game.
