Were people actually this excited to work for Kirby, or were there a lot of martinis drank before this meeting? Are there any Kirby salesmen out there who would like to share their experiences? For the record, I have nothing against Kirby. I love mine. I have the Heritage 2, which is still kicking strong after 30+ years!

The big turn off for me when I worked for them the summer of 86 was the majority of “cold call visits” I had no business doing. I had a regional manager that would go with me and he would not take no for an answer. He would intimidate people into saying yes then once we got back to the office every one of those people would cancel. I ended up quitting because I was spending all of this time from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m. and hardly ever making a sale. It was literally the worst job I’ve ever had
