Glad to see the strangeness and un-clarity came through properly. You'll be happy to know these videos have spurred PPA and I to get back to work, so we're working on another release right now. I just finished a few more pages this morning.
I can't not imagine this comic without Kirby saying poyo instead of him speaking English and Dedede with his Right Back at Ya voice that makes it so much better. to me, at least.
My time has come! The one behind Dedede's costume was actually Kirby himself, and the Muessli (I hope I spelled that right) problem was actually something that happened long before the comic, and it could very well explain why he became a detective. Now, the problem itself...is a whole other story... I'm not sure you realized this but the only other Kirby character not to show up was Meta Knight. What if, long before the comic, he was somehow taken out by the Muessli company? My theory...is that he was killed. Because of this, Kirby lost his sense of self, and left the game world, with a amnesic Dedede. What exactly happened, though? Well, my theory is that the slime was involved somehow, and when it becane part of the case, Kirby got interested. However, he asked for some sort of money for it, because he needed a reason to go back to that trauma that was Meta Knight's fate. So in review, this Muessli company had a dark secret that Meta Knight discovered, and as a result he was quickly killed off somehow by the use of slime, which might've been part of the conspiracy. Kirby, who witnessed the murder, became overwhelmed with grief and left the Game world, taking Dedede with him. But, Kirby chose to be a detective, so he could find a way to avenge the death of Meta Knight and solve the case once and for all. And wouldn't you know it, the lady's slime-mares might've been what he was waiting for all of these years. But that's my theory.
At least Meta Knight is in the anime. Too bad that the best fighter in the universe,(confirmed by nintendo) Galacta Knight, isn’t in anything else, other than the game he’s in.
It is pretty awesome that you somehow managed to collaborate with Anthony [AntDude] and I couldn't imagine anyone else more perfect for it. I very much enjoyed the video and was surprised by the crude language used in the comic [can't get away with that these days], makes me wonder if they'll do that with a Kirby game at some point.
This seems like something Linkara should look at during a Comic Book Quickies episode. I'd love to see him comment on the scene continuity and terrible artwork

Read this back in the day, and the next issue where they talked about the mail they got- Now I doubt anyone cares but they just said something along the lines of "Dedede was whoever you imagined, however the only incorrect answer was 'blue fish', there is no such character". They then explained that name was incorrectly devised from some faulty translation from original japanese but - I never understood it what that meant, either. Ze german "humour" is hard to understand for outsiders, I have to admit. Still, I thought it was hilarious. Also, the reason why Kirby was turned into such a freak in this comic was due to an editor of Club Nintendo who really hated Masahiro Sakurai and did this as some kind of 'revenge'.
Holy crap, this brings back memories! I came from Germany and I read these Nintendo comics when I was a little kid and I remember this comic confusing me. I wonder if you'll mention the second detective Kirby comic that contains a corpse and a girlfriend for Kirby who looks like him
The idea of a Detective Kirby sounds pretty cute. But this comic goes a completely odd direction that just leaves you head scratching more than anything. There is also another Detective Kirby comic that is just as insane as this one.
Please please PLEASE do a video on Super Mario-kun! It's this weird manga series that's been running since Mario World and it'll be right up your alley next to Club Nintendo!
I imagine the characters from Tiny Toon Adventures are there because of the Tiny Toons NES game. Man if not for the copyright insanity all the Crossovers and cameos would bring about I really wish some of these comics would get an official US release!
Are we just going to ignore the fact that thy find A DEAD BODY!! I gues that wasn't in this issue. The Mario comics are great but why did they do this to Kirby.😤
What do I think? I just said "I refuse" out loud, kind of not of my own accord. Pretty sure that's my brain trying to reject everything it just saw, which I now realise I am close to completely forgetting the more I type, and now all that remains is the image of Kirby in his "detective" outfit plus that status and I am not going to try to recall anything else lest I scar myself for life. Good day.
This was a strange one. I could've sworn though that there was one comic where there client ends up dead at there kitchen table after someone turned off the lights. I'm not joking.
