To me, Kirin represents the pinnacle of "ninja" techniques. It isn't a massive move born from some ungodly chakra pool, it's not some DBZ-esque powerbeam, it's a tactical move born of ingenuity, the understanding & manipulation of one's environment, and an excellent example of minimum input/maximum output.

1:50 I'd like to think that Itachi's shock was genuine at this moment. His little brother managed to grow beyond his expectations even without MS.

Definitely Sasuke’s best Jutsu moment in the whole series.

This is one of Sasuke's most powerful yet most situational attacks

I love the narrative parallel between Kirin and Sage Mode. Sasuke uses his own chakra to manipulate natural energy into Kirin. Naruto manipulates natural energy into his own chakra to make Sage Mode.

One of the reasons I was hooked on naruto as a bleach stan, this was ⚡⚡⚡⚡

Ahh yes, Kirin. One of Sasuke's most powerful attacks and we never got to see it again.

The thing that surprises me the most about this scene is that BLACK ZETSU of all people is impressed beyond belief. This guy has been around since forever and has seen a lot. He saw Indra and Ashura fight each other, witnessed some incredibly cool jutsu and HE'S impressed. Pretty cool.

Still one of the coolest jutsu ever used. Too bad Sasuke forgot he has access to far more than just Chidori, teleportation, and Amaterasu in Boruto

It’s criminal that we couldn’t see a clash between Kirin and Rasenshuriken

No matter what you say even Itachi was surprised, this was the greatest representation & delivery of a jutsu. The set up and power was very impressive the fact he could control real lightning just makes it even better

This scene gave me goosebumps back in the day when I was a kid. It was sooo brutal. Still one of my favorite scenes to this day

That is one of the *sickest* and most innovative Jutsu ever. This is definitely among my favorites.

A combination of Science , Physics , and Esoteric Spirituality / Alchemy . This scene is brilliant right down to the visual aesthetics of the attack.

The Kirin he used against Urashiki was such a joke compared to this. Even his jutsus are nerfed in Boruto.

You can’t tell me that this and kamui weren’t the coolest jutsu in the series.

_"Now begone with the thunder clap."_ Soo chilling how Sasuke said this in English!! The way he maneuvered Itachi outside and used his intense firestyle to prepare the atmosphere to drop down Lightning was GENIUS!!! I was in absolute Awe!!!

It's crazy how Sasuke went from this, to losing chakra in a few punches.

A jutsu that taught you about cumulonimbus clouds and has an unholy amount of set up to it. No wonder Sasuke ends up spamming his super kaiju armor after this.

This was a really cool addition to his already cool Ninjutsu arsenal.

This is when Itachi realized Sasuke was done playin games, most iconic Sasuke moment for sure

Imagine if Sasuke used Kirin at the Five Kage Summit or against Madara.

Sasuke's genius and talent was on a different level than others; you get the sense that there's nothing that he can't create, learn, understand, or accomplish if he really wanted to. It makes sense that he's the reincarnation of the guy (Indra) who created ninjutusu for the shinobi world.

Learning what Black Zetsu is, it changes things in this scene. Despite Black Zitsu being around for a very long time, this is the first time he has ever seen something like this, which means it's a very huge feat for Sasuke.

I love that Sasuke takes his signature jutsu and uses it in so many different ways. Meanwhile unga bunga Naruto is just like “but what if I made it bigger”

This moment was epic, because it supposed to be sasuke's achievement in making a jutsu that no normal shinobi can perform with a mere nature release. At the time, the world of naruto was still balanced

I used to think this was going to be Sasuke's strongest attack in the show that was going to be a mainstay .. i was mistaken

At this point Itachi was probably thinking "This could end bad, I might actually be in danger" I get the feeling that Itachi wasn't sure he would be able to survive even with Susano'o

"Itachi got up like nothing happened." "Kirin did nothing." Bro I just rewatched it and not only was Itachi geniuenly scared of that attack, but he was laid out directly after without his cloak and needed Sussano, a technique that can tank Mountain Level attacks and died shortly after... That attack did something. 😂 not to mention, it destroyed the entire lookout.

Sasuke's most badass jutsu

To think this is what Sasuke was about to do to Team 7 at Orochimaru's hideout... It's so chilling and really lives up to the unknown potential lethality of Sasuke at the time! And also Orochimaru was very wise to stop Sasuke from disintegrating them so they could thin out the Akatsuki for them.. That was really smart and very cool how Orochimaru was aware of an overwhelming skill this of Sasuke!! Of course, he's his teacher after all!

Its interesting how this justu is downplayed. Many in the fanbase claim that because it's not powerful enough to critically damage Itachi's Susanoo it's not that big a deal. What contradicts this idea is that Itachi actually took damage from Kirin; we see more scars on his body and his cloak has suddenly vanished. Which would mean that Kirin had to bypass the defences of Itachi's Susanoo. We know that Susanoo can only be bypassed with overwhelming brute force or auditory justu. So Kirin first had to destroy Itachi's Susanoo to deal damage to him; This is further backed up by the fact his Susanoo is nowhere in sight despite it having been used to protect him from Kirin; the idea that he just switched it off only to use it immediately after does not make sense; he does not have the chakra, stamina and even the eye sight to waste Susanoo like that. Either way, in order for Itachi to be hit as hard as he was, Susanoo had to go; as for which version of Susanoo it most certainly was not the ribcage version as that can be broken through by the Raikage's and Tsunade's enhanced punches...which have no where near the destructive force of Kirin. So itachi was probably using the skeletal Susanoo. So...Kirin managed to destroy Itachi's skeletal Susanoo, the entirety of Uchiha hideout and still had enough power to harm Itachi in the process.

I wanna see Sasuke teach this to Sarada.

Sometimes, I wish Sasuke uses this move in most of his fights against abnormal opponents, Kirin just felt left out.

If plot armor didn't exist in the naruto universe, Sasuke could had just used Kirin from afar riding his hawk to shoot down the kage summit with the 5 kages having their meeting. Karin or Zetsu could had easily pin point their whereabouts and no one would expect a thing not even the byakugan welders since Kirin isn't chakra related they wouldn't expect it as a serious threat. Raikage might survive it, maybe even gaara's auto sand defense (tho it's weak to lightning) but the rest would be dead guaranteed do the sheer speed and impact of the radius.

in Japanese mythology SUSANO was actually the storm god that's why it's deliberately shown Sasuke using CHIDORI , KIRIN , INDRA'S ARROW

That is Narutos peak. I know people will disagree. But no unlimited chakra, not ultimate jutsus without it costs. We had a working power system without any kind of god like shinobis who could turn the world to ash with a flick of their fingers

Given how long Black Zetsu had been around for, and how many battles he’s seen, it actually tracks how efficiently he was able to dissect Sasuke’s strategy before Sasuke himself was able to explain it and prove him correct.
