And I feel Kirito fell for Asuna due to being the only chick he was close to. Sinon and Kirito slowly builds up, they fight, they tease, they work great together and just flows so naturally.

I honestly prefer Kirito x Sinon for one simple reason, Sinon has a back story. While I like Asuna, she's just not as fleshed out as Sinon was. At least that's the case with the anime, and so far in the light novels. Asuna needs to have her back story more fleshed out or more focus on her. While I liked the Mother's Rosario arc, I feel like it moved way too fast in terms of development of Asuna. On the other side of the season, the GGO arc had in my opinion a great balance of action and building up Sinon's character. I might change my opinion in the future, but at this point I just like Sinon as a more developed character compared to Asuna.

The relationship between Sinon and Kirito is how people nowadays sometimes end up, not every guy gets twelve girls to fall at his feet, that’s what makes it hard for some people to empathize with Kirito, but this relationship feels like it has actually happen, instead of having Asuna and Kirito have sex after only two months of knowing one another, oh yeah keep in mind that Asuna was 17 and Kirito was 16, so it’s probably they’re first time having sex, like they had their first time with one another only two months after meeting one another, now granted it was in a virtual world but if they were willing to have sex in a virtual world then whose to say they wouldn’t do it in real like, the relationship feels rushed sorta like Barry and Iris in Season 3 on The Flash.

While I'll admit sinon and kirito make a much better couple I don't see how kirito and asuna was "sudden" in any way, I mean it took them what a year and a half to become in any kind of relationship (in the story time not in rt)

About the thing with Kirito and Asuna seeming too sudden, that does make sense with the progression. However you also have to consider that they had known each other for a little over a year if I recall correctly. So although you don't get you see them getting to know each other that much, there is much more happening between them than it seems. And as for Sinon, I do like the idea of her getting together with Kirito, but when you think that everything they went through together was literally a span of 2 days, regardless of the amount of character building shown, it's a clear choice for most people to stay with the person they've happily loved for about 2 years as opposed to falling for someone they just met. And let's be honest here, we all know Sachi was the first one to win Kirito and that tragedy allowed for anything after. Still can't watch that damn episode without my eyes watering.

I hated how they first portrayed Sinon as a strong independent female and later made her weak when she almost got killed by some crazy psychopath, similar situation with Asuna.
