I had one of these in about 1994, reduced to £250, down from over £400. It was stolen just three weeks later, so my frame never got a chance to go floppy
Made of magnesium alloy probably had something to do with it. I had one in the 90's Kirk were owned by Dawes. Maybe bought out by them? The frame had a 10 year guarantee but most of them cracked, flexed and probably would fall apart in the end. I got mine from someone at school, secondhand but with a brand new frame as the first had failed. Sooner or later the new frame got cracks and flexed. Dawes honoured the guarantee again but replaced it with a steel Dawes flame as the Kirk Revolution were no longer available 😟 Flexing the frame meant you could turn a corner without using the handlebars 🤣
