@@beautifulflowersafterhoursof course it doesnt sound good if you dont understand the language🤦🏼♂️ Kirka, this, and many of his songs are legendary in Finland. I know it doesnt help in the eurovision but you cant be so harsh. It has a good ambience and a chatchy rythm. All you need for a good song.
@@beautifulflowersafterhours i see that you have commented on others comments as well. Why do you hate this song so much😂 Like get a life you wouldnt do half as good as they are doing here. And in fact it was 9th place in the competition. And it should have been even higher. You cant deny that😂
Kirka is a legend in Finland and this song is also well remembered but he had bigger hits like "Surun pyyhit silmistäni", "Leijat" and "Hetki lyö". As a singer Kirka was magnificent and he could have been a heavy metal singer too and this guy was once asked to sing in Deep Purple. To see how big artist he was for Finland, check out Kirka's part from Mestarit areenalla - live concert. The whole olympic stadion sang his songs with him.
Kirka, Kirill Babizin, was my favourite performer since 1969 when i heard his singing for the first time. A great Finn, born in Finland but 100% russian blood, one great artist.
This song was the first finnish song i've ever heard when we were in Finnish language course to some finnish song.I truly felt sad when he died:( R.I.P
Kirka should have won!!! Such a disgrace he was so low! That God for this wonderful song which remains forever in the hearts of those who appreciate it. RIP Kirka
Kirill kirka babitzin was a finnish Singer was born 1950 and died 2007 his career began in the late 60s he has Many good songs, hengaillaan, surun pyyhit silmistäni pois, kyyneleet. Kirka was a favorite of Many girls in the 70s kirka in the best
kirka has many good songs but i wouldn’t consider hengaillaan a good song, it’s one of the worst songs in his discography and one of the worst eurovision songs of all time
Hengaillaan is not bad it is just a summer song for the young people like the lyrics also tell about young people hanging around the train stations. It is still after 40 years a well remembered song in Finland. But the more serious songs Kirka sang are bigger, like Surun pyyhit silmistäni, Leijat, Hetki lyö. To see how important artist he was to Finland, check the Kirka's part of "Mestarit areenalla" live concert
A short translation of the song; it's about that they missed the last train but they don't care at all, they're going to have fun all night at the trainstation and wait for the first train in the morning, wich they also miss, but then they'll wait again for the next one while having fun!
In the Top 10 Finnish entries for sure! I think this one of the first 80s Eurovision songs I listened to, just 20 points separated 9th place + 18th place in ESC 1984... blimey!
this should have lost. with nul points. even better, negative points. the real last place that year, einfach weg, was bad but this is much worse. einfach weg is a 3 or 2.5/10 but hengaillaan is a 1/10.
Luulen, että ois voittanu, jos ois ollu (ja saanu olla) englannin kielinen. Voittobiisi, melodialtaan ihan Waterloon tasolla! :) :( I think this would won if it had been in English... The winner substances, it's melody is as good as Waterloo has!
@@beautifulflowersafterhours it's good, catchy music with excellent lyrics and just makes you happy? What has Kirka done to put a pea so high up in your nose that you went around replying to several comments trashing him?
It´s funny listen this stranger languages as Finnish!!! Lyrics talk us about two people thart has lost a train and are waiting the nesx... and so he say to "let´s go around"
