Kirsty's father Alan Hawkshaw who passed away recently was responsible for the iconic organ riff on the track Champ by The Mohawks, which has been sampled over 700 times.
Kirsty is really a lovely person. And I still love "It's A Fine Day" up to now 2021! Her record Mind Fruit is still in my collection. ❤❤💪💪💙💙💪💪💚💚💪💪💛💛💪💪💜💜✌✌!
Yeah she is beautiful and used to MC for me in her own unique way..Amazing...!! Mark and I was on the show the week before, she mentions it at 2:50 onwards...!!
Aztek..... Know you from a very very long time ago mate early 90s.... Before you went on errr a long 'holiday' good to see you are still alive mate.....
Hawdcaw Wave awbums....Despite his, self admitted, disabilwty, He is composed as always. Such a great encapsulation of the 90's spirit between him and Kirsty. A great moment.
@@kirstyhawkshaw Halcyon is an epic track, the best on the CD. Why not create a collaboration? An agent should do the contractual negotiations. You seem like you would be good as an actress.
She has perfect everything)) she is the perfection itself, and that rare case when inside person is as much beautiful and harmonous as on the outside. She's amazing creature. Even her speaking voice mesmerises. Wonder what's she become, does she have lovely children resembling her, what haircut and shoes she wears)))
my advice to you on 'skin or face matters'. We wear our life on our face so be good, be kind, be kind and good to yourself and to others. Drink water, sleep well, and if you make it to my age ;) then be grateful! love Kirsty xxx
I remember first hearing Kirsty..."Hand in Hand". I always look for a reason to fit her work into a set. She is too cute in this interview...just playin' with her balls!
People thought Opus iii was corporate pastiche at the time. I think Jonathan Ross hints at this a bit in the interview, but he is relatively gentle compared to some of the roasting he used to do.
Kirsty seemed OK with fame at first, but then she decided not pursue further hit singles with Opus III because she feared that record companies would ruined her artistic expressions.
Track is called Halcyon. Also Kirsty Hawkshaw starred in the original video for this track. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3SwwljI-8JY.html
Actually, Sinead O'Connor was rocking a similar look to Kirsty when she sang Mandinka. Both absolutely gorgeous, super talented and intelligent girls, both a bit bonkers. Kirsty is truly beautiful, she could have been a model, especially with that look. Unfortunately for Sinead, she may have had the greater success but her life has been a total car crash.
no. that was Jane Lancaster. Jane sang the original Fine Day which was written by Edward Barton during their collage years. Jane and I have connected in the past three years and she is a beautiful person and I was so grateful to finally connect with her. Check her out, she is on Instagram ;). Jane and Edward are working on new material so check them out. Opus III covered the accappella of Fine day and wrote a dance track over it and I re-sang it in 1991 (late) we white labelled it as a promo and it went ballistic... London Records and PWL pitched for it. We went with PWL because they were very organised - simple as that ;)
I’m fairly sure Kirsty used to be a typist at Shepherds Bush Police Station many moons ago and bring her pet rat in with her that sat on her shoulder .
omg!!! I did indeed have a pet rat which I got at Shepherds Bush market. I was a temp at the time at Shepherds Bush :) I loved working for the police typing contemporaneous notes and learned a lot. To this day though I keep my council on the things I was exposed to. The official secrets act stays that way. Did you work for the police back then? How did you remember me :) amazing.
I started my police career there as a 21 year old cop (1986) , I remember you were talking about a singing career to the other girls in the office . I’m glad you fulfilled your dreams, many people don’t. I retired a few years back and living my dream on a small holding in West Wales.
I'm sorry I really can't understand their dialogue from 2:50 to 3.30.. really i can't. Could someone help me a little bit? I would be interesting i suppose.

What's your dad think of all this, business, cause' he's the man responsible, and(???) music, but also: Countdown. Which is fabulous! No! (looks at crowd) it's fabulous." JR I'm sure like everyone else I love that bit (he starts doing a bit of the Countdown theme and then she joins in at the end).
Buena, or no, Bueno, na - no? Banana? Yo no tengo - I know no Spanish. No - yo, yo - no ? And I worked at the 7 mile fair for years. Pardon me. It would be good to speak Spanish, si.
She could have been big today - her style and carefree attitude, eccentric a bit, though they busted all the organized squatting by constant harassment here, pretty much, also, they wouldn't want anyone hearing about it nowadays. When I was young in America all the punks squatted and begged, they were good kids - police gentrified the neighborhoods and pushed them into bad territory here in Chicago. So they all went somewhere, I haven't seen a squatter punk here in the Northside since early 2000s, from 97-99 a thousand plus were pushed off by who knows who. One summer they were in boys town, the next summer none - replaced by cute shops and franchise type beauty of the American dream.
She is talended at beautiful today too but it dissapoints me that she is so extremely self focused. She seems very upperclass to me unlike Ulrich Schnauss who is so down to earth. In terms of personality I like him allot better. He also improved allot on her music in the remixes they made together. Two Trees is a masterpiece she couldn´t have made without him.
She seems like a nice person. the fact that she went to Spiral Tribe raves shows she has some level of worldly experience and social consciousness. Spiral tribe could be compared, albeit in a much lighter way to the punk band Crass.
I know her very well and have spent a lot of time with her in the studio as well as hanging out. She is a total sweetheart and one of the kindest people I've ever met. She's a bit of a gypsy, but very lovely and sweet.
She's not that normal. She had a blog a few years back where she was using that "black salve" stuff that's supposed to cure skin cancer but really just turns the flesh necrotic and makes it fall off. She had massive gaping holes in her skin etc. Despite all the evidence that it doesn't cure cancer and that it's bad for you people still use it.
@@Roti_Gardenia Why the fuck do you feel the need to say shit like that? Jesus, some of you people are fucking pathetic. Who the FUCK cares what she looks like. Goddamn.
