This song brings tears to my eyes, I listened to this religiously in my first year of university when it came out and it brings back so many good memories
I was supposed to see you in Toronto in May. My partner and I are having our first child and your music has been a beautiful source of relaxation. And the baby's got good taste because they kick whenever we play your songs. Thank you
This is a beautiful track. Added to our Earfresh Playlists. Lyrics 👇 Well it's a new day Another full of heartbreak And every time I check in on myself I'm drinking my soul away And every time my phone lights up My heart keeps skipping enough to give up You know the better days still remain Can I be insane forever? Who knew, my ingenue That we could never be together Unless we do a deed we can't undo? And even if you sing that song We could be right, or we could be so wrong Feed the dream, does it seem that we're pushing at the sun? And if you loved her, would you fake it? And every letter, would you burn it? Cause every time I hear the way she said it I can't let go, I can't let go I say If I could make you fade away I could play the game I know so well It's a fair trade Many of the things I said Are made from the beautiful things I regret From the words we made, I feel the pain Can I know if it's worth it, never? I knew, there's an avenue Everybody leaves a piece of their heart on the street for us all to view And even if I feel alone I know I'm just a man of flesh and bone Feed the dream, does it seem that we're staring at the sun? And if you loved her, would you fake it? And every letter, would you burn it? Cause every time I hear the way she said it I can't let go And if you loved her, would you fake it? And every letter, would you burn it? Cause every time I hear the way she said it I can't let go
Love kishi as a composer but this sounded too pop. Doesn't suit him or my ear after hearing Manchester and Summer bear....they are his best by far, its his signature, his unique grounding on music composing scene, this sounds far too poppy, as though one size fits all.....a mediocre sound not like the previous two composed songs i have mentioned. xx
