As a Kurdish, from the Middle East, I have fallen in love with old Indian songs. I do somehow believe I have a connection with India. Whenever I feel alone, forgotten, melancholic and in need of uplifting my spirit I listen to these beautiful songs that I don't know their meanings. Like I am listening to Kishore's songs now with tea, at midnight pacing up and down in my room. Greetings from Kurdistan to beloved Indians.
You are with the right music. In Hindustan, there was never anyone like Kishore and never ever will be anyone like him. He was an actor and he became a lead singer only by chance. He was singing while taking shower and Burman’s (music composers) thought he would be great singing songs and he reached fame by his voice. This man makes millions of Indians happy with his evergreen songs and music. He is one in a million gem to find and his songs give me great happiness and comfort. There are many times, I feel transported to 60s, 70s and 80s and it is blissful. Too bad he died in his 50s. It is a shame this great man wasn’t given Bharat Ratna (highest civilian award) by India yet. God bless Kirshore wherever he is. He was and will always be the greatest.

When I was a child, I would say to my dad, 'What kind of songs are these? They're so boring!' But now I understand the true meaning of these songs, and it's mind-blowing! ❤❤❤
Yes.. I remember during 1970 when I was studying st. xavior college , there was a hotel called " Pritham " located in Dadar TT. Several time Kishore Da use to come for Dinner and he sing a hindi film song before leaving the restaurant.Specially Mere Mehboob qayamat hogi. Lots of time I herd this beautiful song at Pritham Hotel sung by Kishore Da. I remember this......(Raj Aiyer )
