Beth, really hit home. I'm very glad I never had a chance to become a Super Star. The traveling away from home I would seriously regret. Thank you KISS ALL , for all you've given your fans. I love listening to the acoustic stripped down versions.. I enjoyed watching and listening to the ALL the MTV Unplugged Series..I remember when they first came out Nirvana,STP,Eric Clapton and of course KISS.. Even some songs on The Beatles Anthology sounded better(IMHO) then the album versions. Especially the Strawberry Fields Version.. How are those RedBack Spiders behaving in the 'land down under??
John Lazongas I hung with him on the KISS cruise and the dude is also super humble. He doesn’t act like he’s in a famous rock band. Sits and chats with fans like he’s a kiss fan himself lol.
John Lazongas I never understood why people hate tommy, I ran into him at a KISS Kruise a few years back & he was just so layed back & welcoming. Maybe the hate comes from he & Eric wearing Ace & Peter makeup, which I’m totally against in every way, but that doesn’t make them bad people. Gotta love Tommy & Eric
Meeting Gene and Paul on the cruise felt just like a meet and greet. We bought stage played guitars from both.. Gene spent a lot more time and actually opens up. Paul was more of a robot and it’s clearly about the money. Now Eric.. Eric was cool lol, he even accompanied me to the tattoo parlor on the cruise because I went with Paul’s son and he hung out for about an hour. Eric is like that friend that lucked up but definitely wouldn’t think he thinks highly of himself.
fixxxer3456 ironic that the lead singer can’t sing like at all anymore & yet Gene, the bassist can. In some ways I like Gene’s voice better now then it sounded in 70s & 80s. Just gives songs like God Of Thunder & Deuce a heavier feel the way his voice sounds 🤘🏻
@@sonicriccardi7575 It's way harder for tenors to keep their voice quality as they grow older and the vocal chords become thicker. It's only natural that you can't hit the high notes as this happens. As Genes a baritone, it's easier for him to keep singing in low notes because he already has thick vocal chords since ever.
I enjoyed that a lot more than I imagined I would. Great to see them loose and having fun. Great setlist, too....and the Axl Rose bit at the end was very funny!
Yes, I know Beth is Peter's song and I love how he sings it but this is the first time I listen to Erick sings this tune and not disappinted me at all. I love his backing vocals in MTV unpluged. KISS forever!
amazing top notch musicians at work!!.....gene shows why he is the world's greatest bass player and Tommy sets the standard for lead guitarists the world over...they are timeless and prove why every band wishes they could be Kiss. I'm most impressed with Paul Stanley..not only the best vocalist in rock also the best song writer. unbelievable how he still sounds just like the albums. add in the world's greatest drummer in Eric Singer and it is easy to see why everyone wishes they were as impressive as Kiss!!...great job guys!..kiss army!!..Kiss rules
Dont know if some who are complaining actually understand whats going on. The fans are requesting songs and kiss is playing them, this is totally unrehearsed and from memory. If you listen paul complains several times about the volume of the guitars being drowned out by the bass.... this is just a fun event its not meant to sound like a studio recording. They do have talent, look at how easy they play kiss as well as others music... not too many bands can just do that. Ever hear clapton or van halen play others music impromptu? I did....yeah talk about sucking...
Josh G appetite for destruction leans on those 3 hit songs. The rest of the album is mediocre. Duff mckagan and Izzy Stradlin are actually KISS fans. Gnr was a one hit wonder band in 1 genre. KISS is hard to put in a single genre since they have experimented from disco/poprock to grunge. Gnr was a hair metal band thzt just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Let’s not forget Slash actually auditioned for KISS!
