I love this album. Admittedly it’s not super great, but it was the newest KISS record when I became a major fan of the band, so… lots of nostalgia with these songs. My ranking: 1 - I’ve Had Enough 10/10 2 - Heaven’s On Fire 9/10 3 - Under The Gun 8/10 4 - Get All You Can Take 7/10 5 - Thrills In The Night 7/10 6 - Burn Bitch Burn 7/10 7 - Murder In High Heels 6/10 8 - While The City Sleeps 5,5/10 9 - Lonely Is The Hunter 4/10 To me, I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire) is a Top 4 KISS song. My Top 5: 1 - Detroit Rock City 2 - I Still Love You 3 - Not For The Innocent 4 - I’ve Had Enough (Into The Fire) 5 - Black Diamond

Yeah, briefest comeback ever. Got back into KISS with Lick It Up, then went back and checked out Creatures of the Night, and then lost me again with this album.

Animalize is yet another KISS studio effort that has improved with each listen for me! I don't dislike any of the album's nine tracks; I just dig some more than others. Thrills In The Night is easily my top-favorite tune off of Animalize; I NEVER get tired of it! If I had to pick a least favorite, then I'd have to go with Lonely Is The Hunter.

I was 10 years old when this came out, and the Heaven's on Fire music video was my introduction to Kiss and when I became a fan. I didn't hear the full album until a few years later, but my favorite tracks are I've Had Enough (Into the Fire) and Under the Gun.

Burn Bitch Burn is pretty good up until the woo woo woo part. I have a feeling Pawl Thanley put that part in the song. Favorite songs for me are I’ve Had Enough, Under The Gun and Heaven’s On Fire

Yes, Vinnie Vincent was missed:Not for being an outstanding song writer ( which he ain't), but his talent made Paul and Gene leave their comfort zone. The former guitarist definitely need someone to guide him. He cannot have full control. I adore " While the city Sleeps". Yes, Animalize was the most sold album in the 1980s and Mark St.John used to brag himself for it, which he had a lot to do with that.

the album was glaringly missing a good closer 10th song. Even the cassette tape had oodles of leftover tape hiss after Murder in High Heels.

Animalize was my 1st Kiss album. I was 10 yrs old at the time; went to the mall looking for Asylum because I saw the " Tears are falling" video on MTV but Sam Goody only had Animalize. I liked it except for " Thrills in the night" that song blows.

I listened to some of Vinnie's studio guitar playing from before he joined KISS - stuff from the 1970s (it's on RU-vid.) He was a heck of great player - melodic and tasteful. Someone could write a book about what the heck happened to that guy and his playing over the years. But no doubt, he was very talented and impressive in the late-1970s.

I was a fan of Gene Simmons and he was the only member left that i really liked / On Lick It Up they was still a band and i liked that tour saw them twice and it was super / but this Animalize tour it was a hard time to be a fan / Vinnie was perfect for Kiss Bruce Kulick was not even announced to be on the tour where the hell was Mark St John / i love While The City Sleeps is it for me the best song Onthe album

Love While The City Sleeps. Pretty much agree with everything accept I love Thrills In The Night. I've Had Enough (Into The Fire ) is also my favorite.

Cool dude, been waiting for this. I knew we would completely disagree but hey that is cool too. I saw this with Krokis opening and it was a great show. Krokus and Kiss kicked ass. Animalized was such a sonic, improvement and a song writing improvement over the previous 2 Cotn, was good, Liu sucked ass. Animalized saved them. Murder in high heels is better than anything from the previous 2. With this album it rocked the suburbs and was the only pivotal Kiss for the last 5 yrs. Everything was alive, and this album was a big part of it. I'm so glad I didn't grow up where you did. No offense, but I do actually feel sorry for you, you seem so cool and deserved to be there. It’s not a bad Album. I guess it was the follow up to Lick it Up. I only liked a few songs on it. Lick it Up did go Platinum. This was my Very First KISS Concert. I Enjoyed it so much. Queensrÿche Opened Up for KISS. I Agree with your Ranking of the songs. Oh Yeah? One More Thing. KEEP IT ROCKIN 🤘🔥🤘🔥💀🖤

Gene really dropped the ball on this album. Paul wasn't any better. This album was way to commercial for me. I agree "While the city sleeps is a decent tune." the only tune I can handle on it. I'm also not a fan of Desmond Child. But he's a well known and liked writer. But I still enjoyed this video, and for a side note (I loved Krockus "Head Hunter" their BTO cover of "Stayed Awake All Night" is my favorite version of that tune. BTO's version is good but their version was great. That's my opinion anyway. Keep Rocking these video's. Love your channel Ralph. I hope your families health improves. Peace.. Joe

Personally i love I’ve Had Enough, Heavens’s on Fire, and Thrills in the night. The other 2 Paul songs are listenable. The Gene stuff GTFOH. Terrible. 84 wasn’t all bad for Gene. I love the movie he did with Tom Sellek.

It's a shame about Burn Bitch Burn. The riff, song structure is good but the lyrics just ruin it. It's like having a nice cake thats been frosted with shit.

I hated this album when I bought it. The striped fur alone was almost enough. But the song quality was awful too. The Animalize tour was my first Kiss concert and I loved hearing the 70's classics but god the way they looked on stage made me cringe. Gene had these long skinny legs in spandex with a big pot belly. Unless that was the Asylum tour which I also saw. In my later years I have come to like I've Had Enough (Into the Fire), and Under the Gun but not enough to walk across the street to hear them play them live.

SEE! This maybe my fave Kiss studio album! Never liked metal Kiss. Kiss were cool here. Ive had enough rulz! While the city slleps, Get all you can take, heavens on fire are all excellent n up with Kiss best. The rest ok. But those 4 are great

I like the uncensored live video from this tour. Overshadows the album, sounds like a slicker copy of lick it up. Asylum the same. It’s pretty good, was better than the late 80’s poop haha. The album finishes with two weak songs which puts it down a bit.
