The whole point of buying a ticket to a rock show is to see the real guys up there right in front of you, performing their music! If they're not really there, it's not a rock show, it's a 3D movie. Lame.
Would have been nice if instead of the avatars looking like PS5 Video Game characters floating in the air with no weight to them they tried harder to make it look like a real KISS concert.
It’s all ego and money driven. I wish they would have just bowed their heads and said thank you. I’ve been a fan since 1976. Still my favorite band though👍
Problem is: how can we miss something if it never goes away? The ABBA thing makes sense because they have been apart for decades, which is not the case for Kiss.
Back in 1976, Alice Cooper was projecting films on a semi transparent, slotted screen - he would pop-out of the movie and start singing.....this makes kiss into a circus side show if you ask me.
Holograms? I can't see how thats going to work. What about going out on tour? What about face to face meetings with fans? What about signing autographs? How is that going to happen? I have an idea. Why don't Gene and Paul put together a female version of KISS? 4 Young hotties dressed in skin tight, glitzy costumes, belting out super hard rock music. I reckon that would be awesome. The only thing is, what about a name for the group? Hey, what about KILL?

The big difference between this and ABBA is that ABBA was dormant for 40+ years. How can we miss them if they wont go away? The whole point of a concert is the live experience and interaction with the crowd. You're not going to experience that with cartoon characters on a screen.
The band blew 'the smoke effect budget' in the last 20 seconds of RARAN. In-truth as a lifelong major KISS fan I was satisfied with the band's conclusion as Gene, Paul, Eric and Tommy disappeared into the mists of time. That was it for the majority of real KISS fans not addicted to the radical 'all things KISS and the Gene and Paul show must-have collective'. The AI avatar announcement was anti-climactic and in-earnest is dead-on-the-operating-table in true KISS fandom. The mediocre PPV, the same setlist of the last 10 years and complete disregard for any mention of past band members and loyal crew, solidified the reality KISS had become a shill for its former self. Let It Be.
They've been announcing their retirement for at least two decades. When they appeared at the Closing Ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Games, they were supposedly on their farewell tour. I'll believe it when I don't see it...
Oh man. This is getting tiresome but I will explain the nitty gritty truth to you and this is all stuff you can look up. In 72 Gene and Paul got together and tried to make some music with a band they called wicked Lester. Even recorded some shitty stuff with them. They realized they needed better people to play with. They auditioned Peter and hired him. They put an ad in the village voice for a guitarist with flash and ability and hired Ace. It took all 4 ingredients to get the original sound. In the beginning Peter and especially Ace helped form the sound. I hope this clears things up.
Redicolus crap. ABBA made a great show and it was made to look authentic and it's so frickin well done you think their on stage. No flying and looking like a bad comic book. I f'ing hate this. KISS ruined everything with this bullshit. I've been a fan for over 40 years and I never ever though I would have bad feelings about them but this kills everything theyv done. I f'ing feel like crying. My heroes man 😢 F you Paul and f you Gene. You killed it for me. Fan for 40 f'ing years...
