There are many cultures, many religions, many ways to perceive and express divinity. This one is about an entity, which is ancient, impatient, authoritative, proud and insatiably lustful. Last but not least, a playful rascal. The lyrics are clear enough, to leave no room for misunderstanding. Rock and roll would be his kind of taste, maybe...
I remember, I was about ten years old, and I picked up a video game called Tony Hawk's Underground, which had a clip of this video in it. I remember being slightly freaked out by Gene at first, but then I began to watch the clip relentlessly, eventually begging my parents for guitar lessons. That was eleven years ago, and today I'm still learning to play(though my taste in music has somewhat broadened), but I owe it all to these guys and this song.
Se existe um membro original do Kiss que mais gostou de retornarem com a maquiagem, com certeza foi o Gene . Antes ele era mais um baixista/vocalista, mas como o Demon ele é um personagem diferenciado na história do rock.
I used to play in a Rock and Roll band back in my twenties... I'm much older now.. but damn..l tell you Kiss gives me the inspiration to keep playing Still...all l need is some vitamin K..!!!Kiss Forever !!!👍🎸😎
Gene was all about theatrics when it came to his "solo" He never wanted to be someone to play a million notes and shred he just wanted to entertain the crowd and you have to respect that because entertain he does !
That’s the best part of it Too many musicians try to play outside of their talent levels and just come off boring and sloppy Gene stays in his wheelhouse and really puts on a special performance
This is pure music mastery at its finest. The music. The chemestry. The orschestra, the demon voice at the end, The Kiss army, the film editing, Everything screams power. This is not a concert, this is the Opera. The only thing missing here is ACE!!!! Man, I'm telling you. The new generation of music and its fans. You REALLY missed out on something spectacular. What do we have today? Bieber? Give me break.
In 2016 I saw a Kiss tribute band called Detroit Rock City. they dressed and sounded Exactly like the real KISS. The bass player spit up blood at one point in the show which was something I hadn’t seen since a 1977 KISS concert. They put on a GREAT show.
This is what made me a Kiss fan! Origin story (if you have time): the year is 2003 and I am 8 years old. My best friend at the time Sam came over to my house and we were playing Tony Hawk's Underground on PlayStation 2. We beat the game and it had this bonus level that I had never seen called Hotter Than Hell, so I asked Sam can we co-op on that level? So he clicks it, and a loading screen pops up. On the loading screen was the animated version of the members of Kiss. So I asked Sam yo who are these guys? And Sam says "Oh, that is Kiss, they are a rock band, so you probably wouldn't like them." Because hip hop and rap is the only genre of music I listened to at 8 years old. So the level loads, and we end up collecting the letters K-I-S-S that were scattered across the level. After we got the last letter, a 30-second video played which was a visual compilation of this concert, with the audio of this version of God of Thunder playing! And I was blown away and immediately enraptured by what I saw! Kind of in shock as well, because I'd never seen anything like it! There's fire, blood, an orchestra, a guitar shaped like an Axe and 4 grown men in leather, platform boots and Kabuki makeup! I was immediately hooked. Well if you collect the letters again the animated versions of them will pop up on the stage and play a song from the Symphony Concert: Alive! IV! I quickly listened to the other two songs on the game, and I was hooked. From that moment on I needed to know everything about Kiss! So after Sam leaves, I'm talking to my mom and I asked her has she ever heard of a band called Kiss? She tells me that they were one of her first concerts that she went to in 1977! Shortly thereafter, a friend of mine gave me her bass guitar, and I never looked back. The rest, is Kisstory! Thanks for reading if you did! I didn't mean to make it this long!
I was a rock and roll I'm still the person that i have always been. I'm glad u are able to keep KISS alive l luv the KISS ARMY, love you guys we must teach our children and grandchildren have certain bands that they like. lol
This song introduced me in THUG, 2003/2004. Pure nostalgic. The custom skater is the protagonist. And the song took place in Hotter Than Hell, Australia.
I remember watching these kinda videos & movies with my dad from kiss in the 90s as a little kidd great times jumping true the house with guitars acting like them we had many movies concerts documentaries everything
i would always wake my sister up with this every morning charlotte arender best concert i have ever seen in my life and bless my sister for me being so spazmaticte
Incroyablement Magick !!! Eh, d'ailleurs, j'aperçois les prémisses d'un magnifique orage, de par ma fenêtre, qui s'apprête, à son tour, à déchaîner sa furie ; grand merci , "Seigneur de la Terre désolée" !
