KISS needs to play this rare stuff at regular shows. Paul always says that they can't cause too many people come that don't know this stuff because it wasn't popular. But this stuff sounds fantastic. They should make these songs popular by playing them for crowds that don't know them that well.
ZachAttack84, sorry, but you are very, very optimistic person. Half of the people at regular shows don't know who Ace and Peter are. A good chunk of them probably can't even recall what's the name of this funny guy with a star on his face.
So true. People know rock and roll all night, shout it out loud, and Detroit rock city. If the dropped Cold Gin for strange Ways, or King of the Night time world for All American Man everyone would be just fine.....
Bands change members. It's still Kiss. Angus Young was the only original member of AC/DC on Rock or Bust, but it's still AC/DC. Angus is the heart & soul of that band. Paul & Gene are the heart & soul of Kiss. imo
the songs are mostly great the production is awful it sounds even worse than KISS and dressed to kill which suck too the first rush album has really bad sonics too seems like only the british producers could record a hard rock band back then
@@AarosConcerts no its got a very badly EQed muffled low end you might have heard a remastered version crisp is THE VERY LAST word id use they may have fixed it, i dont know the problem with that record was purely an sonics/engineering thing
Wow!...Two of my favorite KISS songs that you hardly ever hear live!...And Eric did a stellar job!...Yea, it would be great to hear Peter but know he quit the band initially...So hats off to Eric in his performance
Rare and sounds surprisingly good. It would be really difficult to find any video of these songs from earlier concerts. Eric does a great Peter. Tricky to do. Eric should sing more.
Wonderful! Kiss is first and foremost a rock and roll band with great tunes. The make-up and costumes are secondary. Also, let there be no doubt that Eric and Tommy know these songs better than anyone else, and that they teach them to Paul and Gene.
Eric absolutely slays the hell out of this song. Peter hasn't been able to do anything remotely close in several decades. Peter was good when the band first got going, but years of drugs, booze, and other vices sullied whatever talent he had.
Absolutely great! This sounds completely awesome. I love these performances on the KISS cruises. I gotta go next year. Eric sings really awesome! He does the Peter stuff really well..I think KISS with the current line up is so tight, and they can play any tune from any year...or any line up..That actually shows the talent of the current line up..Gene sounds awesome here too..Kick ass performance..
He didn’t scream and used his natural voice vs falsetto. Paul has a lot more mileage on his voice as he sung the bulk of the tunes especially in the non makeup era.
@@flyingburritobro68 -- we could FEEL Paul driving his voice to its limits during the non-makeup era. I remember hearing "My Way" on Crazy Nights and thinking, Jesus, stop pushing your voice like this, man! You're gonna kill yourself! It was excellent at the time, but there's a price you pay...
Thanks for sharing! I was there, near the front row, and it's nice to see from a different view... and besides I'm a bif fan of Eric Singer!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOUUUU!
Sad that KISS wont do these songs in concert. That is why nobody goes to see them anymore. Why they think they can only play certain songs live is beyond me. Real fans want those obscure songs live. Thats what made UnPlugged so popular to real fans.
Been a fan for over 35 years....Watched members come and go but always loved these guys even when some of the albums were less than exciting. Went and caught a show in CT this year, I live in GA, and it was mind blowing. Thanks for sharing
4:18 i love paul, he’s my favorite, but dang that was rude😂😂 tommy’s face was priceless. any other band would’ve let them up there. what a letdown. even gene lets fans on stage to play and sing during his solo shows.
Yeah, that was pretty rude. He shoulda just ignored the sign. I’ve seen a few bands allow ppl to come up and usually its decent but I guess KISS doesn’t want to chance it. Which is fine, but don’t call the fan out.
@@LadyFairChildVideo You take botched solos by Ace over smooth and fluent by Tommy? Now I know why Ace fans enjoy his show even though he sounds awful.
@@natecannon6746 yes, KISS is not the eagles, paul and gene constantly flub lyrics, pauls voice is shot, miss notes, hit dead notes etc, to the point that if we are talking about the musical integrity of the song, KISS don't have it any department. tommy and eric play well. but like i said, we are not there for that.
Been a KISS fan since paul lynde Halloween special and believe it or not "ALL THE WAY" is still my favorite song. I love the way they will let a kid or 2 play instrument when their in the meet and great and here some Weiner with a sign let me drum for 1 song. Paul puts him in his place.
Yes. The Paul Lynde Special was mind blowing to see them back then on TV. It reinforced the newish Destroyer album of '76. Glad you too go back at least that far. It was a treat to see them on the Midnight Special and I believe Don Kirchner's rock concert. Good times. The formative years! But Singer does an admirable job on a song that Peter never sang live. Sounds somewhat similar too. Gene does his song proud also.
I will like to see and ears one gig with songs never played live like those ones. No more Rock and roll all nite or DRC. Can you imagine a gig without them? I can. Too bad Paul can´t sing anymore like ten years a go. Great video BTW
Does anyone else notice that Eric always makes like an Oooooooo shape with his mouth. Why does he do that? Is that like his secret of how he keeps time?
Ha that's a good one. Have you seen peter play? He can't even play a fill without losing time. Eric is his own person, he has his own drumming style, and he's 10 times the drummer that Peter will ever be.
Tyler Glynn Yet he has been impersonating PEter for most of his life. Wearing Peter's make up and outfits and singing the songs he used to sing. I admire Eric for his extremely professional drumming style and achievements, I am not criticizing him at all. On the contrary, I think he and Tommy should have never accepted covering the Originals.
Imagine spending thousands of dollars on cds, LPs, signature guitars, Dvd's and a Kruise. Then you ask to play one song. And they don't even grant you that wish.
It was nice to hear how cool Peter's drum parts were on each song since Eric stayed close to the original vibe. I still prefer Ace to Tommy, but it was passable on All The way.
Doesn't sound right without Peter's raspy voice. Fantasy Concert Series: Ace on Guitar, Pete on vocals, Eric on drums. That'd be the best of these gezers!
Next on the "rare" song list should be.."larger than life" side 4 KISS alive 2..Wasnt all 4 of them , I know..But just for the nostalgia! lol..Either way, KISS rules always
