It wasn't like Fredo wasnt warned. In GF1 he told him to never side with anyone against the family....ever. He did it again in GF2 and got what was coming. I hated in GF3 that they had Michael all full of guilt for whacking Fredo. Michael was ruthless and seeing him with regrets was out of character for him.
This is a classic scene from The Godfather movie. Another one is when Michael kills the Turk and the New York police Captain in the restaurant, and then drops the pistol and walks calmly out of the restaurant like nothing happened. The saddest scene of all the scenes in all The Godfather movies was when Michael and Kay’s daughter Mary is shot and killed and she looks into her father’s eyes and says : “ Dad ? “ She was such a beautiful girl, and it was such a shame she had to die like that. That part of the movie made me cry.
"What you have done will be the saving of Israel. You'll be remembered forever for this. And not only that, you've been paid for your efforts. Pretty good wages, for one little kiss."
So why did Fredo just sit around and wait to be whacked? What a loser! Grow a pair, dude, and fight for your place in the family. Better than going out on a boat on a one way trip.
It's not kiss of death .....he didn't plan to murder him here... " Fredo come to me you are still my brother ". Goddammit....the amount of people who don't understand trilogy.
