This was the first time I learned about Kiss. I was 7 and caught off guard by the makeup and I closed my eyes and covered my ears because I thought they were death metal or something. Then I noticed my brother was dancing and so I uncovered my ears and thought "hey this is actually really happy and fun"

My first time was the year following when my parents took me to see the premiere of KISS Symphony Alive that played in Movie Theaters in the US. I was 3. That was the concert that got me into them so much. I had heard their music before, I had heard KISS Alive and some of Destroyer, but when I saw what they looked like on the big screen, I was in awe.

I remember my parents calling me into the living room to watch this live and thinking it was the coolest thing ever, I remember telling my classmates (I was in kindergarten at this time) that KISS was on the olympics, of course they didn’t really share in, or probably even understand, my excitement 😂😂

For some dumb reason a lot of televised shows like the Olympics and the Super Bowl had pre-recorded music at the time with the bands pantomiming the performance. Same thing with Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Super Bowl. So to answer your question probably

This is a disgrace. They are clearly not playing live, the concept (KISS on ice on some kind of spidery contraption wiht ice skaters circling) at the Olympics? Whoever designed and conceived this should turn in their card, or stop using psychotropic drugs. I bet even the stagehands wanted bags to put over their heads.
