Black Diamond, Detroit Rock City e I Was Made For Lovin' You ganham uma nova roupagem na mão do Eric quando são tocadas oa vivo.
Paul and Eric, carry the vocals. To many that don't know, Paul was born with only one ear working. A short Time ago he went through a surgical implant at the House Clinic that has given him electronic hearing in his other ear. When playing live it is still difficult for him adjusting to the two different sounds he is hearing in each of his ears. This is not his voice gone bad. Its his brain adapting to the differences in the ears. I think it demands applause!.
Eh, no. Obviously his voice is cracking. He tries to get audience participation for that long, higher note that he *knows* is going to screw up the performance, but it's the worst possible audience to do that; this audience is here to see Letterman, so most people in attendance probably don't even know the song. That's interesting about his ear, though.
And ive been listening to him for 40 years... seen them in concert recently and their concert is still one of the best. This crowd sucks... hes waiting for them to sign along but just crickets...
It's amazing how professional Paul is even when he's losing his voice. He keeps pushing through his performance unphased giving a 110% Anyone who's been under the lights understands what I'm talking about. Bravo Paul.
"Unfazed" is the word you needed. Not "unphased". And Paul's voice sure sounded pretty fazed, even nearly 8 years ago in this older video. Hard for him to hit those notes anymore. He's not growing younger, so. Yeah, he got paid, and he still can dance like he always did. But the hips can be replaced. The vocal cords? Not so much.
He was 60 years old here. Give him a break. It's only embarrassing to you, because obviously he's doing it despite his issues, and just wants to put on a show for people who love their music. You have to understand that this was scheduled way in advance, and even when you're 20 years old, shit happens last minute, and you could lose your voice and still have to go out there and rock out with your codpiece out. They're lucky to still be alive in this business, much less still fucking rocking like that.
Paul and gene are 2 Jewish men, who will die on stage because it makes them money, kiss in the 70's and 80's kiss, was awesome i saw them 20 years ago, they were good, singing is very big part of the show, you can't do it no more, yet you still go out on stage, i feel bad for Paul
I think it’s because they did a lot of touring from 2010-2012 and this was on the tail end. He was just strained, couple that with his age. I’ve been to two of their end of the road concerts and they were awesome but I do believe Paul uses backing tracks on some songs. Truthfully it’s unfortunate but I’d rather have that and still see him having fun on stage rather than cringing and realizing that one of my favorite rock stars has lost his voice. I love KISS still!
AND ALSO THIS IN MAC TODAY [[ music appreciation class]] GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide. LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!!
Say what you will about Paul Stanley, he’s a true professional who is trying his best to keep the KISS legacy alive. He’s obviously not in his best form here, but he keeps going. I like how he gets the audience to participate when there’s notes he knows he cannot hit anymore.
so what? He could be resting in his home, painting, or doing nothing ... but he choose play and to give concerts ... and he don´t need the money! Hands up for the best frontman and composer of great songs of rock and roll!
He´s playing rock, no playback, no lipsync. He is honest, and people recieve what they want: to see a legend alive, playing and singing. People knows how old are Stanley, they don´t support the "charge" of hearing a broken voice in a bad night
Miguel Angel Prieto ... 😂 and he’s now currently lip syncing his ass off and charging a fortune for it on the End of the Road tour in 2019, your kisstardedness is exposed.
Not really. Blindly loving anything regardless as to whether it's good or not isn't being a fan. it's being a sheep. I still pay to see them but I'm not going to lie and say it sounds good with his voice being the way it is
Ughh. No. I'm a kiss fan, but I'm not gonna go oh yeah, Paul's voice is amazing. Saks up, it isnt good at all anymore. I love kiss, but your just a suxk up and a sheep if you still thinks its good. If you say anyone else singing like that, you would say it sucks, but since it's Paul stanely. "oMg ThAt WaS sO gOoD"
It’s a shame that the age is showing in his vocal chords. He’s been one of the top best sounding singers in the Rock N Roll genre for decades. I’m sure it’s killing him to lose that edge but as everything in life it all comes to an end. I’ve gotta give he and Gene credit for being in their 60’s and still rockin. Always were a favorite since the 70’s and my grandchildren will know and love them as I have over the years too. Rock wouldn’t be Rock without Kiss.
Strutter 78,off of Double Platinum.Wore it out the week it came out. I don’t know what that was I just watched, but I give them credit for still raking it in.
Wow, i guess age finally caught up with Mr. Stanley. It's kinda drepressing, Paul should get a singing coach or something before he destroys what is left of his voice. Best of luck to him and the band.
Paul has sounded better since this. I saw him last night and he was great. It's just that this performance was after a layoff of some sort without vocalising . Or maybe he was sick.
pricepittsburgh Same here, it wasn't amazing live but it blew the roof off compared to this. Maybe we just didn't noticed because we were rocking too hard. But hey, at least Gene still has his voice.
A idade chega pra todos e assim é a vida. One of the most powerful voices in rock and roll is running out, just like Plant, Coverdale, among so many other heroes who gave their lives to make us dream and sing their songs together. Age comes to everyone and so is life.
TheTrainStation .TheTrainStation If you can't hear that this is 100 percent live by Paul's voice and him leaving out words ~ and all the bum notes he played... you've a bum ear my friend.
Been on 2 KISS KRUISES because it's KISS...but..Paul's voice is shot. I've been a fan since '76 and I have to call it as I see it. Bless them for hving the balls to keep going.
@@LusciousTwinkle I don't know who you're listening to but he does not sound better than ever. I'm a HUGE fan since '76 and a professional working musician with a trained ear of 40 years. I love Paul and KISS but it is what it is.
Man, I love these guys, and part of me is glad they're still out there rocking the free world. But yikes. Either the passion has turned into pure mechanics, or their skills have gone stale. I suspect a bit of both. Paul... ouch.
Just found out the t-shirt i got at forever21 is from this band xd i didnt even know kiss exists untill i got a comment on my video saying im wearing a tshirt from this band :-/ 7
I think alot of people don't understand Gene and Paul had the farewell tour for a reason.. they wanted to retire I bet they still want to but they do what they do for the fans they didn't want them to go and they do it for 40 years and a band need to get along with each other or it will be hard to continue a band and obviously Gene and Paul couldn't get along with Ace and Peter but Tommy and Eric they can get along better. And for better player of lead guitar Between Tommy and Ace Tommy is better but better playing the spaceman is Ace, same with Eric and Peter Eric plays better but peter is better as the catman. This is just something I wanted to get out my chest and for the cheap Kiss fans too see.. I'm not trying to change how they think it's just a thought
I don't mind Tommy and Eric taking Ace and Peter's places because the band still sounds the same. Eric singing "Beth" not withstanding. The problem is that they're wearing Ace and Peter's makeup.
+Homer Bart According to Paul in his book, it was a mistake to have Eric Carr and Vinnie be original characters. He believes now that they should have been made to wear the makeup of Ace and Peter.
I hated seeing this. KISS has been around forever. Don't feel like you have to keep going and going. I didn't know Paul had problems. I hope he's smart enough to realize that if he doesn't stop he may not be able to even speak. :-(
Saw them in September last year. Paul sounded great there, and I'll definitely see them again when they come back to Illinois. Same goes for Crue, they also put on a Hell of a show.
I love kiss, Paul was my god but this performance is very embarrassing,I don't know what's happened to his voice lately ,but maybe it's time to give it a rest ,he had an amazing voice , go out on a high , don't be remembered for crappy performances of late.
Danny Miller Thy had their chance to go out on top with the "Farewell Tour". Yet again, addiction set in......Paul and Gene are addicted to attention. They live in a deluded state of self-absorbtion. i personally think Gene would stop now. Don't kid yourselves, Gene gets more interviews and camera time, but Mr. Eisen is in charge of KISS. Gene had remarked that he would play with the originals at the HOF....next day-Press Release from Paul, saying no dice. Why someone would embarrass theirself and their legacy with this fod is beyond me. i sing pretty well, but i still feel the stomach flutters, eve after 30 yrs. IF my voice was like that, i'd never step in front of a paying crowd, i'd find a new hobby.
+Kilgore Trout Thank God Gene and Paul are addicted to attention, without that this band would have wound up in the mid 70's. I think what you will find is all the great artists suffer the same addiction. That's what makes them great.
