This ship is so much fun, and even though I'm still grinding the stock hull she absolutely shreds. Kitakaze and Akizuki was were two of my most anticipated ships to be brought over from PC, and I was heartbroken by how terrible Kitakaze's original legends incarnation was. It was great to see her get a once over from the Ministry of Balance.
I put a legendary reload mod for my kitakaze and it works great. If you’re able to take out a couple ships at the beginning, that can massively effect late game. Even then, it’s a great ship by itself.
Lmao they didn't kill sumner. It's still the top dog gunboat at T8. The balanced it. It didn't need 16km torps, and this is coming from a Sumner enjoyer.
To build upon what you were saying, how does the Kitakaze compare to the Sumner? And the Russian top tier gunboat whose name I forget. Just watched Spartan Elite conduct an absolute massacre in the American tier VIII DD Sumner. "How do you counter torp boats? You murder them."
@lurkingedge legendary skill that increases HE pen. By 30% at the cost of lower HE damage. Essentially you can get that HE pen. Over 32 which covers most battleships allowing you to deal damage almost everywhere.
It’s been that way lately with the matchmaking being very unbalanced. Most games have been very one-sided lately and I’ve been put in a lot of games where I have to fight my ass off in a game that is inevitably going to be a loss because plenty of teammates can’t say alive for longer then five minutes in a match. It would be nice of WarGaming would do something to address how clueless a lot of the player base is. Maybe better tutorials and more in-depth descriptions to explain how the game and various mechanics work or an MMR system, because matchmaking has been very frustrating.

I'm going to take this moment to express my gratitude at this time of Thanksgiving to say thank you to the great Xarkun for another year of fantastic videos, observations and tutorials. He may be only 5 foot 11 inches tall in person, but I say to you this man is a giant in this profession. I've become a more aware player in this game (notice I did not say "better"...we have to start somewhere, right?) because of Xarkun's ability to teach, advise, and above all else, embrace critical thinking with demonstrable evidence for any and all things he presents as claims.. And finally his trademark James Bond Villain-ish "Goodbye" at the end of every episode. Ya just wonder if his index finger is resting on a large red button every time he utters that phrase, but i must digress. Anyhoo, thank you Xarkun for all you do here, you're an asset to this community and a fine young cannibal as well...😜 Why has he not put a silhouette of a sinking ship with "goodbye" written under it, is beyond my comprehension, he's sitting on a frakking goldmine...but i digress.
