Hello, I really enjoy your videos. Thank you very much for sharing the setting with the community. It will be to archieve something similar abaut FL Studio with the KORG Synth 870-DV VST. Thank you in advance, Leopoldo.
Yes sure. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the sound. Usually his settings are different from time to time but the most basic settings are the saw and delayed vibrato at slightly different rates. The filter usually sets differently from album to album and through his career. That's what I know from my own experience with experimenting on the sounds. Will check out the chorg 870dv too! I didn't know about it!
such an amazing cover! i really love this song and you cover it flawlessly. don't mind the solo because that's your own improvisation. could you cover caranvansary by kitaro as well? sorry for my bad english. - greet from Malaysia
Hi! Thank you for the kind compliments. Yes, unfortunately, sometimes the 'feel' comes in and wasn't recorded on camera. Sometimes, the musical phrase can sound nice but sometime not good, this was the case. Anyway, yes, I currently have 'Caravansary live in America' version cover. It's still in progress and finding time to do it, hopefully soon
Thanks for the well wishes! Yes, if you know, some days are better, some days will not turn out as well as you expected but that's all part of the journey!
It's really cool of you :) I'm new to synthesizing and only have a Minibrute and a Korg Krome, do you have any tips on how one can create this beautiful synth sound used in this video?
Wabin22 you probably can emulate this lead sound on the krome itself. Use a square wave and a 12db filter , add delay 200-300ms delay vibrato, however for the korg800dv sound in the other video is harder to emulate as it is essentially 2 saw waves stacked together, the thick sound you hear it likely due to the differences in the 2 analog VCOs and the vibrato speed. The bender on the korg800dv is also special, it has a delay trigger and also the bender speed.
Sounds very interesting, and thanks for this information! But from what I have, I don't have a choice of different waves but rather pre settings (a lot of them) and a small amount of ability to modify them. But I haven't discovered it's full potential yet but I'll look into it :) Thanks!
how did you produce this? software? where you get all the samples or record in your own studio? how did you find out the exact gear that he used to make an accurate reproduction? tell tell us your secrets!
Yes, music production software like logic, ableton. The sound are recreate through listening and emulated by other synths, not actual gear itself. But the keyboard you see is actually the same exact keyboard he used for his lead sounds. Cheers!
This song is perfect as a testbed for synth solos Knock yourself out, have fun, no need to be perfect with your solo on this. I want to pair this with a Kaossilator or Theremin, the ultimate synth solo device because you'll never know where you're landing (as long as you set the scales and key right)
Hi, thanks for the compliment. For this, I only use 1 voice. High cut filter use 5-6 setting, low cut use 1 setting, bright is turned off, expand is off, singing to max 8, use a square osc, octave 4', delay vibrato speed 4, depth 5.
you either are kitaro or a spiritual sucessor or reincarnation or are actually him you practically worship him too lol you channel is just stuff of him lol
Tsaav Ntsaim I appreciate the compliment but I’m not any reincarnation or so! This channel is mostly dedication to kitaro’s music being a long time fan. Cheers mate!
