It’s interesting that in a game about crazy monsters, heretics and robots from the far future, we still have a fascination in the everyday human soldier
It’s like having humans in a kaiju movie. It provides scale to the world around them. How powerful are Nurgle daemons? Necron warriors? Well, put a guardsman next to them, and suddenly it clicks just how terrifying this universe is
@@Crypticranger426 really true, taht’s a great point. Same as something like marvel, Spider-Man was successful because he was just your ordinary kinda guy
I don't know if you knew this, but these Malcador tanks were used by traitor forces in the Siege of Vraks campaign. Maybe have Dave try to make a chaos cultist/traitor guard version?
Every time I see Murray build something, I want to build/paint something as well. I mean, Jen and Dave are very excited and awesame to watch, but Murray is on whole another level. Contagious.
@@TabletopTime I do not know, he just reminds me of those bouncy dogs, so excited to play, who can not wait for you to throw the ball, you know. Also I need the Murray theme song in full. I would put it on repeat when work on minies. :D
Extremely cool work. I also like making little dioramas with the larger guard models. If I may recommend the Cadian Upgrade sprue. It is by far the best upgrade kit GW has ever done (in my opinion) even including 3 entire minis (mechanic, medic, and tank commander). If you're trying to add more personality it is a good source of bits.
Amazing work! The steel legion is one of my favorite faction and very nostalgic for me. I started Warhammer during the 3rd war for Armageddon stuff with the white dwarf with Yarrick VS Gaz on it's cover that came with a poster of the same image. That tank is such a great combination of everything that makes the steel legion great! Now, I think you need to make a modern version of Commissar Yarrick to go along those ;)
Yeah I think I prefer this model of content! Love seeing some army showcases on the chatty bits and I'm very happy you're making so much Steel Legion stuff!
Great job Murray, love that you are bringing the Steel Legion back. Loved these guys back when the War for Armageddon came out in White Dwarf and was gutted when GW just dropped all of the guard kits except Cadians, and the Catachans that need updating so badly it hurts. Amazing conversion and wish I had your green stuffing skills.
I'm intrigued to know why Murray never uses the roll maker to make the tubes for the masks. I recall the rest of the team using it before, so I'm not sure if they stopped using the tool because they don't know where it is or if it's not useful, or maybe I'm mistaken and they never had it 🤔
wait yours went together without giving you drama! i injured my finger trying to get the hull to sit flat and flush with the tops of the track sides. your steel legion crew are awesome and i also have found the arms from the field ordinance battery to be great for conversion
MURRAY! What a fantastic video I really want to go buy a Malcador now ❤ for my Krieg army! Great Job! Love the new video set up everyone gets to do something fun and cool for their own factions / hobbies!
I could watch Murray make Steel Legion all day long! (that initial montage of part assembly is cleeean, had me making some voltron/transformers mega bot assembly sounds in my head XD)
This looks great! The dudes on the back really help sell the model as being a piece of something alive! I love your steel legion videos. Every time I see them it fills me with inspiration for my own Guard units.
I know a bunch of people have already read it, but dammit I'm gonna say it too - the Murray theme songs were FANSTASTIC! Such a great silly addition that came out of left field and made me smile :)
My name is Murrie, I love warhammer, and I’m going to have to very humbly request the full version of that song for every time I enjoy this wonderful hobby in future 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😂
While I’m happy to see more in plastic I’m still more partial to the Macharius, I know it’s very close anyway but it’s just a preference It’s still been really cool to see all these different channels making these new models their own Very cool
i love these kitbashes so much! i've found with greenstuff if you want it to be more manipulatable and stick to the model much better do i a heavier mix of yellow to blue for example; 1 part blue to 2 parts yellow. It acts much more like tamyia but holds the shape a lot better. Hope this helps! You don't always have to follow the rules set out by the manifacturer ;)
Awesome tank muz, and the extra dudes are awesome, although highlight of the video is the murry music....it is perfect, is there a dave or jen version of it? Looking forward to more of the Steel Legion appearing in videos
murry your malcador looks great! good work on it and the crew. I look forward to when i get mine finished both the initial omnidor (so it can be both a battle tank and anhilator depending on the roll it will fill. I'd love to one day get doubles or teams game where murry runs his steel legion and i run my hektarii, gasmasked armies facing down the foes of humanity. though lore wise i don't think i have ever place my regiment anywhere near armageddon as they are more galactic north
sorry for an earlier comment that i have now removed it's frustration was honestly more directed at myself and it wasn't fair on you folks for me to leave it up
You should try out a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Quick Type and Apoxie Sculpt. It works amazingly better than any of the individual epoxy sculpting materials, like Green Stuff.
