Great instructional video Tom. I like the Pikestuff kits because they can be bashed in so many ways and the wall and roof panels all match when bashing. Thanks
By the love of God where was this video 8 years ago!? (Joking of course) I've been kit bashing for years in N scale, and I still learned a lot. Love it, thank you for producing this. I've been using a an Exacto knife when I should have been using a hobby saw for my larger kit bashes. No wonder I had hobby burn out. :/
Please do a segment on truncating a full sized building into a shallow, or background building. Specifically on aligning all the walls and roof cuts. Thanks for this starter video.
I have a bunch of wood and yes its harder than crap to keep it together in the same place before it warps but i thought about kit bashing and its going to cost me more money but if i can find those quick buys off ebay for mix for a better price I will buy those
Enjoy your videos! I want to build a model layout but I have one problem. Years ago I got several ERTL Farm County Sets for Christmas, which included Buildings, Cars, and figures. The figures are 1:64 scale I still have them. I also have a Train set that is HO scale. I am not sure what to do. I don't know if to mix scales or go with the S scale. I hate to get rid of the figures and accessories because I want to use them. Do you have any recommendations for me? Thanks for any help you can give me.
great tips Thanks .Question : I need to make a two level support structure (I want it to look like a steel structure we see at the start of a big building construction ) It's to support my race track ,since space is limited going with many levels will increase my track length .looking for parts in a website of a hobbie shop takes for ever with out a name and I am guessing they have to have such steel parts imitation some where .Thank you for a link to such materials ,Cheers
Hello, I like to use aluminum components. They’re lightweight and strong, and easy to cut and drill as well. Hope this helps, Douglas Model Railroad Academy Video Membership
