I dont know how it’s only been 5 years since I did that old cover of this song. It feels like much longer than that.
For a long time I’ve wanted to redo it but I could never get one “perfect” cover together that I was satisfied enough to upload. However, I’ve learned there’s probably never going to be a perfect cover as I set expectations for myself way too high. I can say I’m satisfied and happy with this cover, so I can finally share it.
5 years later my voice and art have improved a bit. And hey, I can play guitar now. I’ve even started learning the ukulele. Thank you to whoever enjoyed my old cover, and I hope you can enjoy this one just as much.
(This song belongs to Jack Conte, I own nothing but my art, guitar, and voice)

This definitely needs more attention. I love how the vibe is so different for the original, it feels almost solemn. It’s beautiful, really.

You have a beautiful voice. I love the different vibe this one gives. It feels like it'd be the version used for a creepy dark scene in a game or animation.

*I am in love with the vibe of this song.* To describe it the best I can, the original kitchen fork sounds like someone who’s been sent on a su1c1de mission and knows they will die, and has accepted it, but will go down kicking and screaming about it. This version on the other hand sounds like the same premise as the first one, but has fully accepted their fate with a melodic sense of relief about it. Ready for all chaos to finally end, and to finally be able to fly above the cars once more. (Sorry for the morbid description lol-)

I absolutely adore your take on this song. Your voice holds such a unique and elegant tone, and fits perfectly with a song like this. While the original conveys a mad or manic tone, this one is graceful with its madness and I find that super neat. You have an wonderful voice, amazing work with this cover :)

Thank you so much for this lovely comment, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! That is honestly what I'd like to go for whenever I've sung this song. As much as I love how the original song spirals into chaos, I loved playing it in a more dark and tired tone than manic.

i heard your other cover and i came to find this one. I immediately was able to notice the improvement from the previous one, not just the voice but the instrument as well. That being said i must Congratulate you on a job well done.
