Days n days of tough fishing at Lakes Entrance all changes in minutes when we add unusual flavour strikerz scent to our soft bait. Up until that Moment we had seen the flathead race up and nip at the lures and then swim away. The instant we added this flavour to the lures the fish would follow up with 2-3 more hits until they committed and hooked up. Very compelling evidence that they are checking prey to see if they are lures or actual real food. This is a common occurrence in popular catch and release fisheries such as this!
