Hi guys
welcome back to another video. If you are not aware I am the Queen of BARGAINS so just been updating my kitchen for the last couple of weeks now and here we have the final finished look. Guys believe it or not I only spent £48.58 on the makeover, (cupboard paint, door handles and worktop vinyl) . Hope you all enjoy and get some inspo and please let me know what you think!!

I recommend adding a silicon sealer around the sink so that water will not end up under the contact paper and cause peeling

I second that. White silicon will make it waterproof and hide the tiny imperfections in the cutting around the sink

Which country do you live in Charlotte. If its Britain our Poundland Home Bargains and B @ M are great for bargains. And before you do anything you aren't sure of just ASK.... we will all help.

What an amazing transformation of a dated kitchen. Well done, the worktop is absolutely brilliant, not sure how long it will last, it doesn’t matter because you can always redo it with a different worktop design in a year’s time. Lovely door handles too. All goes well with the floor. Saves all the disruption and expense of having a new kitchen. I’m well impressed.

Thanks so much! 😊 I got about 6 months use out of it because I moved not too long ago, but it held up really well!! but for £6 a roll you could change as much times as you want and it wouldn't break the bank. Its perfect for a temporary measure. Thank you for watching!

Ps, you’re the only person I’ve seen admit that using that sticky back plastic stuff is hard 😂😂 It’s definitely cheap & relatively quick to do, but quick doesn’t mean easy & I’ve found all the projects I’ve done with it to be hard 😂

Just seen this video and I’m so glad as I’ve been thinking of a way to change up my tiles mine are horrible white council tiles here when I moved in and like you said the grout goes a little dirty after a while so I’m now off to Amazon to get my grey grout pen. Thanks

You did an amazing job. Ideal as a cheap refresh for yourself. Or if looking to move and want to refresh at a low cost. I notice you said you moved after 7 months. The before and after is Fantastic and definitely more appealing to a buyer. As long as you are careful with work surfaces and use chopping boards etc and trivets for pans etc. Then the contact paper is fine. I would Silicone the edges to protect from moisture getting underneath. Well done.

Good job! I really liked how the grout pen lifted those tiles. The kitchen looks so much lighter and brighter. I know you were working on a budget but I do not like is the contact paper as I don't feel it will last. If it starts to look bad you can actually get paint for bench tops which is really long lasting. It is not as cheap as contact paper but I have used it before and got a great result.

The blinds are are for sticking and are from Ikea!! They were a little flimsy but for the price of a couple of quid I couldn't expect much. Thank you 😊
