I have owned this machine for over a year now and did a product review here on RU-vid. even though Consumer Reports had given it pretty mediocre reviews I don't find the unit to be that bad. I found the build quality to be very impressive however the design has many drawbacks such as a lid that tens two stick and jam due to the Rubber gasket around the lid two prevent the bowl from leaking. the machine and all of its many many many parts takes a lot of getting used to and can be frustrating. the smaller work Bowl although great in theory is not as useful as the larger Main Bowl due to poor smaller blade design. the dicing kit is cool and works well however the feed shoot is very very small and requires that you process the food before you can process the food and again you must deal with many many different and very sharp parts. all and all it is a decent machine that does most things adequately but nothing very well.
Kitchen aid alsome product but should be packaged better had a damaged box a hole went straight threw the box an cracked the bottom of the mixer. So disappointed on how it was shipped it was rough handled.
Sheri W who is your beef with? is it with KitchenAid or with UPS? something that would be strong enough to puncture the Box and penetrate the packing materials doesn't sound like it was the fault of the manufacturer

Kip Paseo great feed back, my wife made fried plantain chips and her boss loved them so much he asked her if she could fulfill some orders, in order to make the process faster, the food processor would need to be close to the cooking stove close enough so that when the chip slices are cut, they have motion and speed from the machine to jump into the grease directly, which leads to my question. In your opinion, what food processor would best suit this function?
