I remember being a kid and watching the show, knowing nothing about special effects and miniatures. I was freaking amazed! How the heck they got that car do all these awesome things. And even though I know now, how they did it. It still brings a tear to my eye, because, it just- still looks amazing! Such a wonderful show. ♥

Watched the show as an adult in the 80s, such wonderful memories... still love the show today even though it's obviously dated. Nothing could replace KITT... watching old episodes brings back a lot of those memories I have. Sometimes I miss the 80s. No Tesla today could replace KITT.

HaHa real funny. . No, this is not the same flood channel, the Los Angeles River, as T2. This is in Studio City near Universal and the T2 scenes were in Northridge, Northwest of Uni, Burbank and Sun Valley. Most of the smaller channels flow to the LA river and out to the ocean.

The ending of the scene is just stupid, he destroys the public utility instead of just driving to the end of it. But the practical effects are excellent! Plus, I swear somewhere on VHS I have a shortened version of this where he just does turbo boost to outrace the water, all cheesy interior scenes are removed, and he just drives out. No turning around and breaking the tunnel.
