I love how he's running around and the kitten's like "hey? hey!! wha-What are ya- -" Then the kitten's like "You... You monster....You've been here the whole time?"
I give you points for not laughing until near the end. I was dying after the first few seconds! This is too funny! And well done with raising the hedgehog. He's one of the bravest I've ever seen.
I know exactly what you mean. I got mine when he was 6 months old and he wasn't handled hardly at all before that so he gets scared easily, too. He's (slowly) gotten a little better after working with him almost every day. Patience is definitely a must.
Kitty: what. What is this thing? *Tap tap* Hedgehog: where am i? What is this? What this huge thing laying here? In my way!!! Kitty:haha it's a funny crazy spinning thing! This is worried! Hedgehog: hey! Get me OUT NOW! *See's tube* ooh. RUN to the tube!!!
Whhaaaaatt !?. How is this even possible?!. This is one of the cutest / funnest(sic) / ..and just best things, ever filmed. Too cool to be true. Dumb animals. Sometimes they just do things, like it was meant for our entertainment. I love it ! Beautiful.
Whoever thinks this hedgehog is just trying to get out because its scared does not know that much about hedgehogs. They are just playing. If the hedgehog was scared it would curl up in a ball and make a certain hissing sound.
You have one brave hedgehog. oh and by the way...... THIS VIDEO IS ADORABLE!!!! OH I COULD JUST WATCH IT OVER AND OVER CRACKING UP!!!! IT'S JUST TOO CUTE TO ONLY WATCH ONCE!!!! PLEASE MAKE MORE!!!
If the hedgehog were frightened it wouldn't have tried to "hide" in a little tube and it would've certainly not gone anywhere near the cat. They roll up and try to push their spikes into you. That's why they get run over by cars so much, sadly. Think before you call someone else a "thick dolt".
This kitten is CLEARLY being gentle with the hedgehog. If the hedgehog had a problem with it's existence, it would have huffed and puffed at it. So I think people really need to stop freaking out - because they are clearly going to get a long just fine. Sheesh - freaking out over nothing. My hedgie is like this ALL the time with my dog, in fact my dog is TERRIFIED of him!!!
I couldn't stop laughing! This seems to be fun enrichment for both of them. I love how the hedgehog uses the tube like a battering ram. That kitten just keeps getting in the way. Too funny!
OMG I though they were gonna kill eachother, but then I was like Awww!!! I love how the hedgehog runs around and he doesn't mind the cat! I have a hedgehog too! :D
This is so funny. The hedgehog is almost oblivious to the kitty's existence haha. Why does he keeping running around with the tube on his head? What a weirdo lol.
I'm shocked (no not really) that you clearly don't understand hedgehog behavior. It's not stressed, it's not trying to hide. Hedgies will run miles upon miles during their active periods. This is perfectly normal exploratory behavior. It's crawling up the sides because it's curious.
My friend's cat is a friend of a hedgehog and uses him as her hairbrush (a good reason to be friends with a hedgehog, I guess). There's always plenty of cat hair stuck among the hedgehog's quills.
Jeff ory Cat's are ok until stupid mofos trying to utilize the most flawless God's creature in the universe as a hairbrush for them. All power to the hedgehogs! All hail the hedgehogs!
For everyone saying this hedgehog is in distress, have you ever even seen or owned a hedgehog anywhere but youtube? these things roll into a ball and huff/puff when they're scared and sticking it's head into a tp tube is a way of playing. This thing is obviously in no way stressed out as it appears to be having fun. If it really were scared it would have rolled into a ball and stuck that cat with it's spines, the cat would've jumped ten feet and ran away.
Here are their thoughts. Hedgehog: " Circles are my life. Life revolves around circles. I will live forever if I have circles." Kitten: "I wonder if it will stop if I poke it...." Person recording the video: "MWA HA HA HA" 2:40
If I were a tech person, I would put pressure bads along the bottom of that that triggered Sonic the Hedgehog sound effects of collecting coins as he ran over them.
