I was at this game. It was a good night. The bird- smith incident was a game changer from a psychological standpoint. Gave us that extra grit to get us through
watched this live, Benji pulled that try on the last tackle out of nowhere, he was definitely the best player in the world in 2010, he was doin this at club level let a lone the world stage against a full Aus side
I remember the days when the Kangaroos use to put 50+ on us. But even after those hidings i was still hearty as ever and when Kearney took over i knew our time would come. Now we are blessed with so many players playing in the NRL
Benji Marshall was definitely the best player in the world in 2010. Without a doubt. It's a shame he lost his speed and agility. Benji Marshalls game was built on those qualities before he could do any of his tricks.
@@cameronhubbard415 Wtf do u know. You don't have the world @ your feet without been tough mentally. Even to play the game, mental fortitude & discipline would have to be exerted @ some stage. Benji has been there & done that..!! So f..k off you lil 62kg dripping wet lil hermit.
@@cameronhubbard415 how exactly did he not have the mentality? if he was a storm player he'd have had multiple premierships and everyone would talk about how good he was. Don't think of him as less because he was a Tiger
@@matthewwhitney3689 you think Bellamy would ever want Him in his team?( or cam smith for that matter) you think Benji would have the steel to handle one of Bellamys tirades. Not a chance, throw toys out the cot, go to management, I’m ‘Benji marshal’ it’s me or the coach gone attitude, not even wanted by the kiwis for the last half of his career. Don’t be blinded by fancy footwork.
@@cameronhubbard415 Yea i think in his prime every coach would've taken him. He's never had any attitude problems and he could take an average team and make them good, bit of a no-brainer really
NZRLFC 🇳🇿 GREAT GAME FOR THE NZ KIWIS TO WIN IN ANY FINAL WHEN PLAYING THE KANGAROOS BUT NOTHING BEATS THE RUGBY LEAGUE 🏈 2008 WORLD CUP 🏆 GRAND FINAL 👽
that 8 metre forward pass though hmmz nvm its in the record books now. i remember watching this live thinking surely they are going to bring it back for that huge forward pass surely lol

Welcome to the modern era. You dont have to be born in the country you represent, just be patriotic to its ways. 2016's a new year, hope the rep season's a good one. I remember as a kid watching Australia smash us every year, we were lucky to come within 10 points. Now the premier competition of Australia's flooded with foreign talent, South Pacific, New Zealand you've even got Poms as premier signings. So i suppose you cant whinge about patriotism because that got thrown out the window with the likes of Tony Carroll, James Tamou, Jaryd Hayne you could even throw Michael Jennings in there Anthony Milford. The list goes on, its all about the money people. Winners are grinners and no one has time for the past because it is what it is.
Lockyer very rarely ever makes mistakes like dropping the ball, But it just happened to be one he let slip at the moment. Great game, preps to NZ winning, Great finish. I say that as an Aussie myself. NZ rarely show the aussies up, but that was one time they did.
I think it's funny that when bird and Jeremy had that scuffle typical Aussie commentators "aww bird has accidentally clipped him, hahaha bullshit bird blindsided him from behind and tackled him basically no accident at all "Jeremy reaction was way over the top" hahaha no it wasn't it was the exact right response for being cheapshotted by a grub.
what you do get is we are improving nz are getting young guns coming through from the toyota cup my cousin is playing he will make i dont see any aussies coming from that place
