In Milwaukee WI the Canadian Pacific Railroad has a bridge that travels over S Kinnickinnic Ave that has become known as the "KK Can Opener" as many many trucks have wedged themselves under it over the years. There has been the signs on both sides with the 12'-10" warning. At some point CP had installed a beam over the span in front of the bridge to act as a sacrificial beam to protect from the hits. I have witnessed a hit that bent the beam requiring the railroad to replace the beam. On this day the driver had told the police that he was only going 35 mph, you can be the judge of that. The railroad since this hit painted the beam yellow which still did not help stop the trucks from hitting the bridge.
