In September 2021, K.K. Downing was a former guitarist for the British heavy metal band Judas Priest. He was one of the founding members of the band and played a significant role in shaping their classic sound. K.K. Downing was known for his iconic guitar playing and was a part of Judas Priest from their inception in 1969 until his departure in 2011.

After leaving Judas Priest, K.K. Downing pursued various musical endeavors, including forming his own band, "K.K. Downing's Steel Mill," and collaborating with other musicians. He also wrote a book titled "Heavy Duty: Days and Nights in Judas Priest," in which he shared his experiences and insights from his time with the band, with him he have Tim Ripper Owens on vocal.
You can’t keep a heavy metal legend down. Although it’s been nearly a decade since guitarist and songwriter K.K. Downing departed Judas Priest, the famous band he co-founded and played with for 40 years, he was never really going to retire. It was only a matter of time before he reclaimed the spotlight, this is real Heavy metal.
K.K. has had metal coursing through his veins from the beginning, starting in the Midlands region of England where Judas Priest was born. He chronicled his life odyssey in his 2018 autobiography, and his passion for his chosen genre is well represented by his new band K.K.’s Priest and the thunderous debut album Sermons Of The Sinner in 2022, and the follow-up album Sinner Rides Again.
And he will be on tour at KK Priest Live.
