I really think what makes Klaroline stand out from all the other ships is the fact that they were always an 'almost'. They were almost together, almost in love and they had almost made it as endgame. Yet they are the couple with the most beautiful and meaningful relationship. Klaus and Caroline are two different people who when came together challenged eachother. Klaroline forever

Writers were afraid that this ship will overrule 'Delena' so they killed it. But in doing so they actually immortalized it.
