They put both him and KD on the court with severe injuries. It’s not a coincidence that they both got hurt. Bob Myers put them out there thinking that no other team would offer them a max contract if they got injured. Klay lost out on the top 75 because of that injury.
That’s on the job injury. I got hurt while working for you. They lucky I didn’t sue for improper work practices. They forced KD to play and he got hurt too
And correct me if I'm wrong didn't klay when chips while under old contract. That extra paybis a bonus for winning . While other players were getting free agent deals and hebwas stuck in his rookie contract or 2nd contract
Cam came a long way. His knowledge and perspectives on sports is starting to become next level. And he’s evolved into an actual sports analyst and I think he can really hang with the big boys. Big respect to the Harlem OG💯💯💯
@@killertofu Unoriginal troll can't even find anything else to say, so all he can do is repeat part of my comment at some weird attempt at humor. Typical.
Both of these brothers I always have followed both of them. Killer Cam my favorite actor. And Mase just everything. Sending Love and Happiness to both..
...and torn ACL. Missed two whole seasons and they(GS front office) still broke him off with a max or d@mn near max contract. $hidddd...Klay tambout they disrespected him. H3ll, the front office most definitely has every right to feel disrespected by him after he(Klay) happily accepted and cashed every single check while he was injured for two total seasons.
Cam is very clever and astute. He seems to be a natural when it comes to his perspectives on sports. I think he’s reached next level and has actually evolved into a solid sports analyst, and can hang with the big boys💯💯💯👑👑👑💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
True, but it’s made news because the owners put it out. Klay doesn’t have control of what business between him and them gets put out. If it’s out, it’s out, and it’s bound to get talked on since it’s sports related.
Why not? The organization Blessed him with a healthy bag while he were down so why he mad no one knows? You know how many guys would love to still get the bag while sidelined for more than 2-3 yrs???? Yeah no need to hit back. That just sounds redundant to even say that
@@edwinwashington6288 he helped win 3 championships before he got paid. There’s no loyalty in business. This is Klay’s last opportunity to get paid & he dedicated his whole career to GS. GS offered him significantly less & had him coming off the bench. What person in their right mind would choose less money & a demotion over a greater opportunity? 🤨
@@edwinwashington6288 He dedicated himself to the team & they won multiple championships with him being a major part of it. They rewarded him. He doesn’t OWE them anything. You sound like a child. 🤫🥴
Remember when Klay missed out on that super max money bcuz of a vote for the all nba team. Not talent, but voting. He technically earned that money and then some if you think about it. You gotta take care of Klay like Steph
They did take care but it was something they needed to do because he was a big factor helping building that dynasty. If anything Draymond should have left
He also led the league in 3s with 300 in 2023, they should've paid him last summer. That's where the disrespecting started, the final straw is b podz starting in his place, the biggest joke in thr nba if you ask me
As a lifelong DUBS FAN, I TOTALLY AGREE 👍. Usually the type of injuries that Klay had would have been career ending for a lot of guys. 2.5 years away from the game is highly unusual, and even more unusual that the team didn't cut ties, AND paid him FULL SALARY 😳.
But let’s not forget all the times they took his moments away from him. He loved playing ball. He got injured, could’ve lost it but bounced back. Still capped him when he got hot. Steph even say Klay is the better shooter. They were The Splash Brothers.
Never claimed to be Steph. Never tried to be Steph. They helped make each other. The Splash Brothers are arguably the best backcourt in N.B.A. history.
So yall blaming him now 😭 Warriors ruined there chances signing everyone else before Klay, but thank you Steph and dray were gonna love him in the Mavs 😭
@@bryantcarsonHe dam sure didn’t lose. He didn’t want to be in GS anymore and went to the Mavs for a fresh start. Mental and Clarity wise that’s a WIN!!! 🙏🏽💯🙏🏽
The Warriors were so focused on keeping the big three that they forgot at a certain point those three are going to retire everybody that they had that could have been a good prospect for them. They let them go to keep the big three. And even their big draft picks, they decided to waste it on a dud.
Why tf do yall keep defending billionaires. The warriors weren’t worth shi before Steph n klay now it’s a billion dollar business. He just wanted a piece of what he helped build.
No it's more than that, klay caused a major problem for them in 2016,the best team with the most game won in 2016 but was embarrassed because klay talked on lebron, really and truly klay sold that team and wasn't the owner, his heart has been snatched by lebron, that's a fact
Its NOT crazy at all...they do two different things on a court! And what Draymond does is more valuable, and Dray performs his specialy at a better level than Klay does his specialty at this point in their careers. Nba is full of 3&D players younger than Klay, people forget he was coming off the bench at times during this last season. We all get older and lose something athletically, its just Klay's time to move on...and he knew it. He will start every game for the Mavs and have a good season, hes betting on himself! His warrior days were never going to be the same as that team is contructed
@@marx41mans bro what does Draymond green do that’s special ? He run a fast break , set screens , and pass the ball ? Who can’t do that in today’s league ? He can’t guard a regular center , can’t score , and etc . They could let Kuminga do that and he can score and athletic 🤷🏻♂️. Klay is more valuable to any team . Draymond is mediocre at best and he would be on the bench in anyone else’s team
If u think its alot of players who can do what draymond does u dnt kno basketball he has 1 of the highest basketball IQs in the NBA hes a PF that u can run ya offense thru he can playmake he 1 of the best defenders in the nba hes the leader and the engine of that team he makes currys job easier do u think curry wpuld be open as much as he is if draymond not put there setting screen and tellin ppl where they need to be while also basically playin point guard but also guarding 1-5 @@big_reece8632
@@big_reece8632Dray is their best defender, best facilitator, enforcer, best court vision and highest basketball IQ on the team. They suck without him. He used to be a scorer to boot but sacrificed so much that he no longer has any offensive rhythm.
So G-State couldn't pay him 50M/3yrz-The Mavs did- (Green got 100M/4yrz)- Klay is 50% Splash Bros, How does one NOT protect their ICONIC LEGEND- With respect, dignity, and admiration of generations to come- "Bottom lines are Quarterly Algebraic Manipulations- Legends are Forever- No Klay, No Dynasty- COPE
Dont matter this is the end for the warriors, Klay was the most impirtant player on that team bcuz he protected Steph when teams singled him out on the defensive end and on offense being the best clutch shooter on the team. And before anyone head spins off thinking Steph is a clutch shooter go check his clutch stats.
Warriors couldn't have treated that man any better. He did them dirty, but i think it'll work out better for the Warriors. The better young players will get more minutes and they wont have to deal with him throwing temper tantrums and whining and crying and bringing negative energy. Plus all he can do is spot up 3s now. Cant dribble, cant run the offense, sucks on defense, so Mavs might get 1 good spite boost year, but Warriors probably better off.
@@dwaynehiler5735 you're not wrong about his limitations, especially the dribbling. How are a guard and can create a shot off the dribble but you can't deny that those injuries years were bad luck. Also, look what happened when they were back at full strength with a good bench, they won a chip to solidfy their greatness. As far as I'm concerned, debt is repaid
Whatever his fall off was he still averaged 18 a game. Mavs paid him more than the warriors were willing. He went to a better team and got more money. Good for him for demanding max money if he could get away with it still at his age.
@richbuddee6121 2 years 48 mil vs 3 years 50 mil. 2 mil more overall, but u gotta work an extra year just to get it, so the mavs really didn't give him more money (24 per year vs 16 per year). And he went to a team that did better last year, doesn't mean he went to a better team. That remains to be seen. He makes the mavs worse unless he steps it up, and the warriors were only a couple games behind the mavs despite all of Klay's weak behavior and Draymond being suspended much more than usual. I think the Warriors will be better, but we'll see. It'll be fun to watch and that's all I care about
@@dwaynehiler5735 well he turned that 48mil down mid season, betting on himself. After the season he was willing to accept 40 mil for 2 years and they still wouldn't accept that. So he moved on to a better situation for himself and proven current contender. He doesn't make them worse if he comes off the bench and averages 15 and knock done clutch buckets, which he can do
U can tell klay dont spend his money id put him down as being one of the richest in the nba lowkey. Im willing to bet. He live a minialist liftstyle nothing wrong with that. So money was never an issue. He didnt feel valued but your last 3 seasons were Ben Simmons level. It all good G. Go give Dallas ya all. And ball out
Klay was embarrassed coming off the bench and that contract they offered him had him coming off the bench still and he was hurt by that but as a Warriors fan, he should've played whatever role he was asked because he was getting outplayed by rookies especially Kuminga who should definitely be in the starting lineup. No way I would've left but best wishes to Klay🤷🏾♀️🙏🏾💗
Clay signed a $50 mil contract with the Mavs for 2 years,Golden State offered him $48 mil to stay after he got that $160 mil contract that he didn’t even played good because he was injured. He acting like the team wasn’t loyal to him, they should have cut him and saved some money when he was injured 😂
Klay's representatives put in annoffer of 2yrs for $40mil...the Warriors turned it down. No one knows if they even made a counter offer. Klay wanted $20mill a year, the Mavs gave him roughly $17mill. I just seriously think Klay was over the Warriors management and diminishing role on the team and wanted out to start fresh and have a new challege. Leaving your legacy behind for a $3mil difference takes some serious though im my opinion, you gotta be really heated with an employer to leave for such a small difference. Klay just wanted to go and still start and play alot...i dont fault him for wanting to continue his career just as much as the Warriors had the right to say we cant put $20mil on our books for you.
Nah, that point falls short…Klay definitely earned them $$$ With ALL that hard work he had to put in to be able to come back from those injuries! Don’t forget that!
Like you said many layers .it is a business to the organization. The players make money for the organization other than being on the court .jersey sales and other things .They didnt do him a favor .
Imagine playing in the NBA for 8 seasons and a player averaged 22pts per game and was on a team that won 2 titles and the player was 2nd team all-nba, but only averaged 16pts the previous year and the team wasn’t that good because he was injured or whatever, then the player is a free agent and the team wants to offer a lowball contract based off 1 bad season? No agent would go for that and it would look horrible to other players who might consider going there in the future.
He worked for everything they gave him. He deserve that and more. You guys need to listen to ball players and what the execs be doing to these guys. The man was theee first how many championships. That’s why I watch Gil’s arena now.
It's a tough situation because they kept putting him off and wouldn't discuss the contract with him. Even Joe Lacomb took him golfing and then refused to discuss the contact. They should of been upfront with him. And to see Draymond get a 100 million dollar contract after all the problems he had it is kind of a slap in the face. He's still Klay Thompson. He may be not quite as good as he used to be but he's far from trash.
