One my first mail order records! I think I was fifteen. I immediately transferred it to a cassette and listened to them over and over buzzing through town on my skateboard. It was like being followed by four cheerleaders from another planet. I played them on the radio constantly as well. They always sound so fresh and that’s such an accomplishment ❤️!!
Mattias Boström Yeah I agree The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Green Day that’s not real punk. Real punk is lazy slow music with lyrics such as a high pitched “ee”. You’re ashamed to admit you like 80s pop or whatever branch of pop this is so you call it punk.
Bring the spirit of punk rock and bring back this wonderful group why did they leave let's bring them back by popular demand please let's vote bring back this wonderful group hopefully we can save new Wave power pop
I remember buying this on an EP at Soho market in 1978. I remember buying an Art Attacks singles as well, along with it. Funny how some things you never forget.
Master What bands are punk to you? A group of people playing music where none of their instruments match? Tell me if Blink 182 isn’t punk which bands are?
@@spippy2901 Kleenex/Liliput were just as punk as Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, X-Ray Spex or any of the other first wave punk bands. Kinda hard to take you seriously about punk when you’re profile picture is a modern blink 182 logo from one of their latest albums. You might want to brush up on the history of punk music. I’d be happy to suggest some books, documentaries, websites, etc where you can learn about the origins of punk music if you’d like
Heidi's sad...but these totally fierce teutonic/electronic frauleins made me smile! Like this, gotta also adore the kleenex-nice clip too (go to you tube clip ending in /zY2nXUUvwg4..in kleenex they sing in German...she sez "poodle & oodle' I think in there but the rest?? but still they mustve done their bit to shake the (then still up) Berlin Wall down! ya & yay!
I was ten years old in San Francisco but have never heard of them, but then again, no ten year I was hanging around with ever heard of The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and so on. Did this group tour the USA? They sound absolutely great, timeless : )
THE BIRTH OF ABORTION ~ The first abortion happened in east Ohio in '55: the baby fought back & the abortionist did not survive. The birth of abortion led to the abortion of birth among big females pregnant with unborn baby blooms in nurturing/incubating wombs.
Wikipedia is wrong. Perhaps both singers were born "Ramona Carlier", but they remain entirely different people. Ramona Mo-dette is on Facebook (under her married name which I won't mention here) - seek her out & ask her yourself.
Brilliant, takes me back to my black and red walled bedroom, playing this single and annoying my sister who hated my music, hahaha. She liked Gary Glitter. I rest my case, your honor!
Pretty random, but I'm inclined to believe more the poster on this blog than the wikipedia article about the Carlier/Sing case. The blog is recordhuntinginaustralia dot blogspot dot ch/2009/11/mo-dettes-white-mice dot html
+Kelsey Jo Music Learn how to play "DO-RE-MI-FA-SO-LA-TI-DO" backwards and forwards. Get good at it. You should be able to play by ear after that. That's what I did. It actually worked too. I'm not shitting you
The replies here to your comment are HILARIOUS!!! Best bands since Smash Mouth??? Wow! Isn't that bar a little low? Shouldn't you have said, "one of the best bands since Nickelback or Bon Jovi." Now you've passed the idiot comment baton to me. You're welcome.
I prefer Kleenex to LiLiPUT (sorry Marlene) and this is one of my favorites from them. Lieslot Ha's technique was utterly unique (hey, I rhymed!). Love it!
