Klein meter CL 700 review and how to use icons for different applications Klein CL 700 Meter with case amzn.to/3TmRqvg Klein Tools Meter Magnet hanger with strap amzn.to/3dQMOxc
Appreciate that very much. I know when I first tried to learn. It was tough. Didn't know who to listen to and every word that came out, I got more confused. Glad it helped.
Thanks, yea it's hard to beat and really like it. Thanks for the compliment. Still learning how to make videos and this one I didn't think would get so many views off the start.
I really like this meter but there's one thing I don't like about it it don't have the flashlight and it don't beep on on open hot wires but all around good meter I really like video keep up the good work man
Appreciate that David, yes a flashlight would be a great add on. And beeping on hot wires would be another great add on as well. Maybe in the future they will.
hi. i would like to ask something. apart from continuity test, does this clamp meter offer checking or measuring the specific value of a resistor? planning to buy in the future
I'm a student and only use my CL700 at home. NO hard use. Have the same crack in top left corner and it grows bigger every week! This might be a design or assembly issue. Klein won't provide repair parts or replacement.
Yes, the crack on the cl 700 in the video has got worse as well. But that's because it lives in the tool bag. Which, gets used pretty much daily. My mistake was not keeping it in a case all the time. Overall, after a good solid few years of use, It is expected. The Klein is a fantastic meter still to date though. The rubber on the sides a bonus. There's a link in the description box below in the video for cases. It will save in the long run, I think. Thank you
Thank you for the information and your humility ("hit the dislike so I can learn...")! I've found YouTubing time consuming and appreciate someone's work. You may have rambled a bit but that comes with practice. Maybe write down your bullet points? I got a cl700 to fix my AC unit and am still learning how to use it.
No problem, will try to work on that in the future (The rambling part). Really pleased with the meter overall. Yes, the bullet points is a good idea actually.
Yep, the screen cracked early on in its life actually. But, that was my fault because I didn't buy a case for it. Not sure why the leads are backed out on yours. I just looked and the leads are under $20 on Amazon. Should be able to just replace.
Forgot to mention that you press select when on Voltage to alternate between AC and DC voltage. It does not change between the two automatically. I had that problem. Hope this helps somebody.
As for the scratch on the CL700 take some 800-1000-3000 grit sand paper and car compound and erase the scratch. Like new.... I hate scratches on my displays. Drives me nuts.
