if you bboy you know that victor's style and vocabularly is actually pretty hard to execute and make it look as clean and deliberate as it is...kleju is clearly a great dancer and really athletic but he doesn't have the same true combos and attention to basic technique as victor like kleju doesn't six step or anything. obviously he's still really good, but you have to think what is a judge gonna want to see 4:40 is a good example, just look at that ridiculous freeze stacking and doing power in both directions at every level that shit is just beautiful
Im agree with but not at all. 'Cause if you dont use the base it's more difficult than just make a simple six stem. You making your own style. That is the greatest in break dance
Kleju's first set was noting short of amazing! The energy & creativity was off the charts. Not to mention killing the beat. Should have been 2-3 with Victor taking the later rounds.
Haha how do people think kleju took this, it was obvious he was tired, an he sort of ran out of moves to combo together. Not saying Victor destroyed him. But he won fair in square in bboy standards.
Gilberto Arellano Kleju should be world champion, not just in this battle. victor is one of those boring overhyped bboys. bboying is about freshness and beat, what kleju displayed.
I'm confused on how the scoring works. Vic was up 3 rounds, when Kleju had only 1 round @ 5:15. Announcer said last round before Kleju got down. What if Kleju had won that round? Would they have continued? If not then what's the point of even going?
+Nu Nguyen The Finals were meant to be 5 rounds, so even if Kleju took the last round, making it 2 (Kleju) : 3 (Victor), Victor still would have taken it.
I'm sorry, they must not have that many excellent Bboys in the Eastern Europe qualifier. Kleju is a hot mess. Not sure how he made it to the world final. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something here.. don't think I am
b/c breaking isn't a sport. it's an artform. you express yourself. even in competitions, you manifest your thoughts and feelings with the music and communicate with your opponent through dance.
same here, although I will admit his moves sometimes make me go WTF, they are really unique and certainly add some much needed style to these competitions 💃
+brennybi So Mr. Freeze, Crazy Legs, Poe One, Focus, and Goku are wack? Maybe they just got a little tired of the same moves over and over in really short rounds. Vic's the full package, and a apart from a few burns, he owned this. Kleju's dope, but he was obviously gassed out at this point.
seymourglass26 Yep they are. All those guys along with other judges have been consistently making bad decisions lately. C'mon, Vic was doing the same shit he always does, nothing new
brennybi Please point out one new move Kleju did the entire battle. The kid's a dope dancer, but he was obviously tired and had short rounds with nothing new. Victor was more complete, even if he got burned once or twice.
+Freydom247 Kleju is very musical for sure but during the comp he repeated too much (in fact he always repeats after a certain number of rounds)... but he almost won it, he's too fresh
explain this to me. Help me understand. Looks awful to me, but so many people like it. I don't get it. He looks stupid to me. Maybe I am too old school
Matt Comanda Yeah, he is not like most bboy's. Top rock and power moves. He has his own style. It's about flow. His name is Glue in English ;) In my opinion it's cool. Do you remember bboy Cloud? He was more dancing but still was amazing and he almost won BC ONE.
ProBarstok yes! cloud is a beast, a lot of dancing and VERY clean. not like this guy. Cloud is on another level than Kleju. maybe people are starving for a new style and they are latching onto this guy. I can't wait for Saturday. I have the alarm clock set !
His wikipedia page says he is directing and choreographing music videos, and was a dancer on Madonna's tour.. I guess he is busy making some big money..
