Description -
This choose-your-own-path, board game/novel hybrid, is an ambitious product whose story takes place in the Runecrest Valley before the Dead King arrives. Play through the Valley of the Dead King (Volume I) in an entirely new way and experience the unfolding of a complex and epic story. Once I get through Aeon's Tresspass Odyssey, Kilk's Madness is probably the next game that I'm getting to the table!

I just received Fall of the Ancients. I have to replay and actually finish Klik's madness soon. Hexplore It is also one of my top Boardgame. Love the whole series.

We have never tried HexploreIt before, but are excited to play. Should we play Valley of the Dead, or go right to Klik's Madness?

Learn the rules of the base game first and then try the campaign. It should not take too long for you to get comfortable with the rules and flow., But the campaign adds rules on top of the base game, so it may be too much just jumping in .

Sorry I’m responding so late. Yes, yes, yes, this game is one of the best things solo player can experience. Duet is great too, higher player count makes this game impossibly long.

Not a chance. Don't believe it. You must start with VotDK. Don't buy anything else. The reason everybody is hiding is that the rules depend on each other. You can't play future games without knowing the first.

Thanks for sharing- i have Klik’s Madness but haven’t gotten chance to learn Valley of the Dead King yet. This makes me want to do that ASAP so I can try out the campaign after a few games!

I think one session with "classic" mode will be enough for you to fully enjoy the campaign - it starts with prequel helping with effortless start
