Very 👍 good job Joey , sometimes tweeter coil get loose on the meter it will show its ok but tweeter sound will be very low, in my teen days i used to rewind woofer, mids and tweeters coils.. but anyway good video my friend, thanks.
Mine was an early production run of the CW4. I also have a Heresy IV that also doesn't have AQ Type 4 SPeaker wires inside. I think it's reserved only for the La Scala & Klipschorn's.
@@joeygsaudiochannel3972 I think they ran out and probably saving for higher models like La Scalas. If you watch Paducah Home Theatre Klipsch disassembly videos Hersey and Cornwalls had it except Forte IVs.
Yeah the La Scala AK5/Klipschorn AK5’s are totally different beasts from Heresy, Forte’, and Cornwall series 4’s. I don’t know about the bolt on Tweeter you mention though. Thanks for watching and appreciate the kind comments.
@@joeygsaudiochannel3972 I enjoy watching your channel! Thanks for all your tips. I would also like to mention that I love 300b integrated amps for Fortes and Cornwalls!
@@klepp19 That’s my next step once all this Atmos and Subwoofer stuff is paid off. Run a nice little flea bag power high quality Tube Amp for just the mids and tweets and use the Orchard Ultra just for the Woofers.
Holds the 2x4 cabinet braces together. Like Harbeth/Spendor, the cabinet is very resonant on purpose. But I'm upgrading the Xover as soon as I have the funds saved up. Not gonna change values anywhere. This includes oil in paper caps, copper foils Inductors, and Air Core Inductors.
Brother……I’ve smoked Amps, Tweeters, KEF Uni-Q’s (literally let the smoke out), and back in the day, made a Macintosh Performa Computer go black screen and x’s 0’s frowny face. Check out Andrew Robinson’s livestream 2 days ago. We had a good laugh about it. Fast forward to 28:19 yellow highlighted comment at the bottom of the screeen. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rXTj4vb9cWM.html 😂
@@carlosoliveira-rc2xt Dude...what's with the hate on for Klipsch stuff. People wouldn't buy into it if they sounded like crap. My problem is I can't buy expensive Speakers that need to be pulled out into room 3ft. and have no egress coming to and from my front door. I've had A LOT of Bookshelf Speakers in my rig since my days working with Ron and my friend Ben. The closest that had tower like Bass without messing up the Bass was the KEF R3's. I could have bought those from my friend Ben at a great price but then came the Klipsch's which were a used bargoon ! Now that the Tweeters have been replaced, next up is the Crossovers and placing some No Res inside from GR Research. Playing PS Audio's The Art of Music Vol. 1....Bass and there's issues and aren't room related.
