Just bought the RF-7iii's and love them. All the reviews are subjective. For the money, they are clear and refined. Driving them with a Dayton Audio HTA200.
I'm not bashing the RF-7 IIIs. I won't say that they sound bad. I don't think they're a particularly great value for money though. The Tekton Pendragon outperforms them for about half the cost.
Great videos! Love the format and the equipment. It's a shame that you sold your RF 7 III's. I watched a few of your demos and read a few of your replies. Unfortunately I believe that you underpowered the RF7's for your testing. I tested the RP8000F II, RF7 III, Heresy IV, Forte IV and Cornwalls. When they were all running the same 100 watt amplifer, the RF7s sounded the worst, and the Forte Sounded the best. When we changed it to dedicated monoblock amplifiers 250 watts a channel, the cornwall sounded the best for quality. The RF7s second best for quality and hands down the STRONGEST, it energized the whole room. Almost as much bass as my dual SVS subwoofers at home. The fact that you think the RP8000F II has as much bass as the RF7 III tells me you were running them off the same amp as each other. The four 10-inch cones require huge amounts of current and therefore beefy amplifier with large transistors and heavy duty power supply. If you want to judge the speakers overall, I agree the RF7 isnt great as it NEEDS heavy duty amplifiers whereas the other klipsch products do not. But if you set it up with 250-1000 watts a channel, its an experience I've felt similar to a $100k wilson audio set up.... my 2 cents A very misunderstood speaker the RF7 III Edit: hope you get to test the Cornwalls and Lascala on your channel. Those are dream speakers for me
I bought the RF7's for loud loud 2 channel listening. When you play a song like "Hey Now" from London Grammer, you're transported to another dimension of sound. I also have Focal Kanta floorstander's, with the berrylium tweeter, dedicated flax midrange and a sealed SVS subwoofer. Unbelievable clarity, sound stage, voice reproduction etc. Objectively a superior system in every regard, even compared to Klipsch Heritage products (colored boxy midrange sound / still very very fun).... but the rf7 is just a beast compared to all haha.
I bought rf7 III for 6months now. I can tell you if you put speaker spike on them and bought a good spike plate, it will sound a lot different than using rubber feet. I try A/B myself and the result are significant, the vocal are much clearer
Zainteresować się warto, a napewno warto posłuchać przed zakupem, moim zdaniem rp8000 które graja bardzo podobnie do 280 to są świetne kolumny, rf-7 jest to trochę rozwinięcie serii RP, rf ma w dalszym ciągu wycofany środek lecz obszerniejszy bass I bardziej nasycona oraz detaliczna górę. Seria heritage, to już zdecydowanie bardziej ocieplone granie, już nie tak ekspresyjne jak rp czy rf, dużo zależy jakiej słuchasz muzyki i jakie brzmienie preferujesz. Pozdrawiam
RF7 neds more power and has a bass heavy reeponse , compared to the forte so is not a perfect comparison.. there the best speakers of there type tho KLIPSCH 🤘🇺🇸 legends in sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching. The rf7's are very detailed and clean on the treble, have very low extension, but lack midrange. I like Forte better, the vocals are pleasant to the ear, they have a bit less low tones but a stronger impact, they are still very detailed but calmer. I chose Forte, Rf-7 may new owner. Regards
